Apple has never sold a new iPhone with an OLED display for under $999, but with the iPhone 12 lineup expected to include a wider range of models, that could soon change.

iPhone 12 pricing could start at $649 this year, according to Jon Prosser of the YouTube channel Front Page Tech. Prosser says this information comes from his same source who accurately revealed the new iPhone SE's launch date.

The prices would be as follows:
  • 5.4-inch iPhone 12: $649
  • 6.1-inch iPhone 12: $749
  • 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro: $999
  • 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max: $1,099
All four models are expected to feature OLED displays and 5G support, as analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously claimed. The less expensive 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch models are said to have dual-lens rear cameras, while the more expensive 6.1-inch model and 6.7-inch models are expected to have triple-lens rear cameras with a LiDAR Scanner.

Even if these prices are merely educated guesses, it is reasonable to assume that Apple will finally offer an OLED-based iPhone for less than $999 this year. Given its smaller size and lower pricing, the 5.4-inch iPhone could easily become one of Apple's best selling iPhone models ever, especially during these uncertain times.

Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 12 lineup in September, although at least one model might not become available to order until October or November.

I may be out of the loop here, but are we expecting a 6.7" screen in the same 11 Pro Max body or is the iPhone 12 Pro Max going to be slightly larger? I saw the images showing an even smaller bezel but I doubt that those alone are enough to get 5mm more screen.

And does 5G mean mm-wave support on all devices? I know that was being rumored to only be on the higher end devices in 2020.

Slightly longer and wider.

Waiting at least another year before upgrading. My current device is destroying any app I currently use... that isn't going to change in the next year. And before someone says AR/VR.. not interested in either unfortunately. And 5g.. psh not in my area for at least 3 to 5 years so no point in rushing out for the latest/greatest.

I have suspected this exact pricing - in a way coming back to the previous default iPhone base price for so many models. Nice, lowering entry price will be appealing to many. At the same time they can earn more bucks on the "standard" size model - back to 750. Clever, but for me that basically means new iPhone will be more expensive - as comparing same screen "shelf". Little bummer.

Only pros are likely to get pro motion too.

If they get it at all, it's still awfully quiet when it comes to pro motion. Everybody expects it, but I haven't heard Kuo, Jon or any of the other 'good' leakers about it in recent times.

That sounds about what I expected.

6.1-inch iPhone 12: $749 is likely what I will get, since I'm not on contract and always pay full price.

The 5.4-inch phone is too small for me, and I don't want to spend $1000+ a phone so the other options are not for me.

So in the fall, we're looking at:
  • 4.7-inch iPhone SE (2020): $399
  • 5.4-inch iPhone 12: $649
  • 6.1-inch iPhone 12: $749
  • 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro: $999
  • 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max: $1,099

iPhone 12 6.1" $749 will be winner like iPhone 11 and that $49 price bump from 11 can be justified(buyer's mind) for 5G, OLED, A14, Camera improvement, etc.
What will price of iPhone 11 coming fall ? $600 ? Than, why buy that instead buy 5.4" $649 or 6.1" $749. Get lot more for little extra.
