LG iPhone camera module factory closed after first coronavirus case
LG iPhone camera module factory closed after first coronavirus case

The LG Innotek factory that supplies iPhone camera modules has closed in Gumi, South Korea after the first case of coronavirus was discovered in the workforce, delivering yet another blow to the Apple supply chain.

Exactly. I'm sure it will release, but with backorders galore like the good ole' days.

Think how long those lines will be when everyone is forced to stand 2M apart from the person ahead of them! Back to the good ole' days indeed!

Apple not on pace with production
schedule. Foxconn plants operating at 30% capacity, Flights and personnel travel being limited in China. Will Apple be able to bring a new iPhone to market this year I hope so but it looks more doubtful each day because of the Corona Virus

Even if Apple releases new iPhone this year, people would be reluctant to buy. They don't want to put their mouth, ear and nose close to this device even with the masks on. Considering this product is manufactured in the epicenter of the virus.

Are people likely to be handling the device within 48 hours of it being handled and packaged in a gloved clean room within a Chinese factory? I somehow don’t think people are that thick or if they are then hopefully that elevates some of the supply issues for the rest of us.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are.

Foxconn now saying back to full production by end of March
Time will tell

RF chip maker Apple uses temporarily closing . And the beat goes in ..........

You mean the ‘beat goes on’, not ‘in’.

Anyways, just as an FYI, if you’re going to make a claim about ‘Apples chipmaker temporary closing’, at least provide a link where others can read that versus making someone search and/or ask a question as to where you read/heard this.

If we bring those jobs back to the states, your new iPhone would triple in cost. Crazy.
