I just received my 12 mini black but it looks a bit navy blue in most angles. Definitely does not feel completely black like the older models. Anyone else getting this or is this just my phone being a defect or something? Before anyone asks, I didn’t accidentally receive a blue model because the blue model looks way lighter.
I thought I had accidentally gotten the blue one but after googling it realised it wasn’t. Everyone I’ve shown thinks it is navy… mine is pretty blue especially in the light. I really like it and have tested against black phones, laptops ect and it definitely is more of a navy colour. Is it a defect?

Nah, its normal. Every black iPhone 12 I’ve seen looks kinda blue. I like it, but I don’t get why they didn’t just make it true black.

ok fair enough thanks for letting me know. I don’t know why they don’t call it navy or midnight blue or something if it’s not going to be well like you said a true black… it seems to have more than one person confused. I get that blue is in black but there is a difference at the same time. Anyway I like it too.
