Guys,
I have gotten the best Screen Protector from AMAZON from this Seller:

Screen Protector is Easy to install and Highly Recommended!

Pictures? Also any screen protector that you have to touch to fit is not “the best” to me. Too easy to get even a partial print on the edge when lowering it onto the phone.

Anyone has apps that are not showing in fu screen? There is black border at the top and bottom. Apps like Uber and even the Apple store app.

I honestly don't get it. I've been using a mini for a week now, have the cheapest glass screen protector that I could find (cost me about 6 bucks), and I have absolutely none of the touch issues I have read about. None!
On the other hand, I can honestly say that the past week has been a nightmare as far as this phone is concerned. I have not spent one complete day in which I haven't encountered one problem or another and spent hours trying to resolve. Anything from the proximity sensor being too slow to turn the screen off and my face pressing something when I lift the phone to my ear, to volume controls in my Harmony Remote app having a mind of there own (yes this may be a Harmony app issue), to getting no messages and/or email notifications from time to time, to my phone playing my ringtone when I start up my car, to the phone freezing at times, to unbearably terrible dBm signal strength results in field test mode (which by the way sometimes doesn't update itself for hours at a time, even when I run it again) to finding that the phone gets scary hot when I charge it with a magsafe charger.
But not ONE touch screen mishap! Guess this is all the price I pay for having a good touch screen!!
I have a few days left to return this, but at this point it's showing itself to be about the worst phone I have ever owned.
But not ONE touch screen mishap.

Do you guys think they will include fixes from 14.2.1 in final version of 14.3? None of the betas of 14.3 have fixed our issues..

Today I returned the mini and picked up a 12. All I can say so far is I am finally pleased (so far). The iphone and my Samsung are showing roughly the same signal strength in the same area, which is the first time I have ever seen an iphone do that good.
Hopefully the next few days have no surprises.

What makes you think it was a Mini specific issue and not just a faulty unit?

I never said that it was a mini specific issue. I did say I thought it was the worst phone I have ever owned but you're right. That COULD have been that specific phone I had. As a matter of fact, it's hard to believe that the difference in signal strength that I am seeing between the mini and the 12 is due to the mini just being inferior, unless of course Apple chose to use different antennae due to the small size.

That's how it normally works. As far as iOS 14.3 betas, I don't believe there was a newer one since iOS 14.2.1 was released.

Well I have posted a few times on this thread regarding my iPhone 12 mini issues.
I started a return and replace with Apple UK on the 23rd, took them 3 attempts to get a replacement to me.
Most recent one was on the 1st Dec. The previous 2 requests went missing on the Apple system for some reason.

Anyway I got my replacement this morning and so far it’s been perfect, I updated it to 14.2.1 straight out the box no issues.
This includes the phone without and with a screen protector and case.
Also I run iOS beta 14.3 beta 3 and again no issues.

So my previous iPhone 12 mini which I still have waiting for collection, I feel was faulty as it had the exact same updates as my new phone but didn’t approve.

I have just installed the Release Candidate for iOS 14.3 on my iPhone 12 Mini 128 GB. I can confirm that all the remaining touch issues are gone now :)

I was not able to reproduce any scrolling issues when browsing Safari or settings anymore. If you want me to test additional things, just let me know.

The final release will most likely be available this Thursday as iOS 14.3 is the first version to support the new Air Pods Max.

Thanks for the info! We finally will enjoy the mini now lol.

What app? The stock photo editor doesn’t have an “X” to press.

In which case, it’s the third party app developers who need to update their app. That’s beyond apple’s control.

Still having issues. Just updated iOS now even if I take my case off it doesn't resolve. No screen protector. Does the 13 mini also have this problem? Might just upgrade...

Oof 43 pages is a lot to go through, but yes my 13mini doesn’t respond to a tap to wake pretty often. It could be that my tap is actually a light brush that doesn’t register…. But maybe not…

And the hit box seems off sometimes, but more likely it’s just that it’s so small that it’s hard to tap

Stating the obvious, but this issue was limited to the initial rollout of the 12 mini and resolved in 2020 with iOS update 14.2.1. Notice that this thread had not one additional post the entire year of 2021 ( last post was Dec 2020) so if you have a 12 or 13 mini with a sensitivity problem, it is most probably some issue specific to your smartphone.

Thanks, like I said, 48 pages is a lot to wade through. Appreciate it.
