iPhone 12 iPhone 12 Mini White vs Black

I really like it and even admit it might be better choice than white one
Black/Green/White/Blue/Red for me
Don’t get too disheartened by the cream colour, I think it really matters what the lighting in the room is and what the sensor on the camera is picking up.
Apple stores are open where I am so I did a little recon the other day, below is a picture comparing an SE2, 11 and 12. Taken on its own, the warm colour might not be so noticeable.
EDIT: Also depends what device you're viewing it on. On my iPhone SE1 the image looks quite even, but by monitor must be a bit more saturated.

The aluminum frame on the white one looks amazing. My perfect mini would be the frame of the white one with a black back like the iPhone 4 but since that's not available, I prefer the white one. First time I've picked white over black.

Black is a bit boring. I wonder if you can sand down the edges to reveal "silver" aluminum... I wouldn't dare to try!
The black (or dark blue) is immediately smudged with fingerprints. I had one, it's going back for...The white hides them the most. if a case is going on- it doesn't matter.
This x1000. Since apple has gone black front with any color (iPhone X later) I have gone silver, mainly for the non anodized or pure stainless sides. I went with the white 12 mini this time and love the silver sides. Reminds me of a few of my favorite phones of old...
I always prefer silver aluminum vs anodized / PVD because it shows wear much less.
If anyone owned the black iPhone 5, they got an education on anodized coatings and wear. That thing sparkled like the night sky after a few months because all of the nicks on the edges.
I cant find any iPhone 12 or Mini in white color, most of iPhone in physical stores are Blue/Black/Graphite

I ve seen black mode, rear is black glass color obviously but frames have little bit blueish tint, i cant say its 100% black frames, maybe its due to the lights though
The white color seems to be more warm then before (on video) but its weird, some videos, its as pure white as older white iPhone, but some others videos, its creamy white
Also about silver frames, is it silver or little bit champagne/pinkish tint?
Its kinda weird this years, black has blueish tint and silver has champagne/pinkish tint?!
Does anyone can upload their own iPhone 12/Mini in white and black please?

I don't have my 12 mini yet, but it will be white. As you point out, the finish on the edges of the phone are significantly different between the white and the others. The white seems to have a "brushed aluminum" look which I really like a lot. It makes a nice transition between the white and the screen. The other colors seem to have a colored anodized finish on the edges that tries to match the color of the back. I don't like that nearly as much.
As to the warmness of the white color, you will probably have to see it in person under various lighting conditions to really understand if you like it or not. I haven't seen any yet in person. Best info I've found is to google "white iPhone 12 mini photos". You will get dozens of photos to look at - of various quality. After doing this, I'm 95% certain that I will like the white! Your results may vary ;>)

I went with white. Picked it up this morning. Looks very good and clean. All the colors look fine really. Not sure why this deserves a thread. Just be a grownup and pick the color you like the best. Black does look a tad better IMO, but there are so many other black phones out, and anodizing always chips, so white is my pick. Intending to go caseless again too. First time since iPhone 5c. (Still miss the plastic fantastic)
I like the black mini (ended up returning it and buying a blue, but it’s equally dark) just cause the screen disappears. And makes it seem like one piece metal block when the screen is off. That’s what caught my eye when I say it at Best Buy. While I’m not sure I haven’t seen it in person.
Between black and white, I prefer white. When I think about the original iPhone, I only think white. It's classic and fresh. Plus, if you misplace it, white is easier to find.
But really, my favorite color for the mini is mint green!

I received it today, due to the subdued lights, i cannot say what white it will looks in day light
But this is promising, gorgeous silver frame all around the screen, iPhone 12 Mini out-stands any iPhone, my first gen SE doesnt look that good

You can delete that notch by choosing black wallpaper, and dark mode. You will still see it, but less often.

Thanks for the comparison pics. They are helpful. I have the SE1 (rose gold) too, and I upgraded to a gold 12 pro max this year. You've been a member of this forum for 7 years. You've been actively posting about the Mini for the last 2 months. It wasn't until you powered on your Mini that you 'found' the notch?
This notch thing is getting really old. It's there. It's been there for over 3 years now. Deal with it. I wish people would stop complaining or buy an Android.
