I am sorry but the iPhone 12 is a bull...t phone through and through. Same camera sensor, no touchID (how to even use this with a mask?!), no USB-C, no 120Hz, 5G no mmwave outside US, 5G not for Dual SIMs. So I get what? A cool new blue color in an iPhone 5/iPad like casing? For $1000?

Not everyone upgrades every year. For those of us on an iPhone X the update looks pretty good.

It seems these “power users” are buying the phone for 5G and must have it 24/7

Ok.. whatever

You don't have to be a power user. E.g. I use a dual SIM phone now. Personal and Business SIMs. Though I am not buying an iPhone, if I were and the options were I can have 5G or Dual SIM, that's pretty poor, especially I am being sold on the "5G is now"

I’d love to see these “power users” show me on the map how they have 24/7 access to 5G coverage. Try Verizon in LA....

Anyone that is buying this phone primarily for 5G is fooling themselves anyhow

This absolutely is a dealbreaker for me. Most people seem to forget there’s a world
Outside of the US. 5G coverage is good where I live in Sydney and I use one phone with a work and personal sim. Without 5G this takes away the main reason I ordered the phone

You know there’s 194 countries outside of America!?

Sure... how any of them will support 5G on your US phone?

Question for anyone who has a HK/China model phone with dual SIMs. Can one be disabled (temporarily) without removing the SIM itself?

I currently have a SIM from back home which is used exclusively for receiving SMS messages from banks etc. and will eventually also be used when travelling (HA). It sits in an iPhone 6 and uses SMS forwarding to my iPhone X. I want my iPhone 12 Pro to replace both... but I don't want to miss out on 5G. I'd be fine if I could disable the second SIM and only enable it when I'm expecting messages.

Spare a thought for us Aussies that get screwed with tech products.
The 512GB iPhone 12 Pro Max costs us AUD $2,369!

I'm sure it's possible. On normal dual SIM Android phones, it's possible to disable any SIM from the settings.

Lol... until you step out of the wide open park.

Funny.. you have never posted ANYTHING about dual SIM on this forum, now it;s such a deal breaker.

Whatever... buying this phone for 5G is very premature,

Why would I post anything about dual sim on this forum? It works as advertised and I’ve used it happily on two different iterations of iPhone for 2+ years.
To reiterate - this is a dealbreaker for me and likely many other Australians who have upgraded to the latest phone being touted as 5G compatible even though it won’t work as advertised
