Okay so here we go. I thought that it would be easier to create a thread since i have not seen anyone else with the same issue. From the title you can see that my 12 will not charge wirelessly using a Qi charger that i have been using with my old 11 pro max. Apple support say that there is nothing wrong with the sensor and cannot give me a solution.
Has anybody out there experienced this issue yet? I don't want to spend money on the MagSafe charger as i do not like the look of it and is not practical for me.

TIA.

Think the wireless charger mustn't be compatible after all..
Same problem here. My wireless charger that I have been using with my 11 pro no longer works with my 12 pro when I have a case on it. Without the case, it is fine. I placed my old 11 pro in my new 12 case to see if the case was the problem, but no, the 11 pro chargers fine in the new case.
so something has changed with the 12 pro, the positioning of the coils or maybe the MagSafe stuff has made the wireless connection not as strong. I’m sure soon we will see plenty of cases and wireless chargers using magsafe, but yeah, for now, kinda sucks.

Might have to get the MagSafe charger after all it’s just that the phone lays flat rather than standing up which is what I was after. Not trusting Amazon reviews just yet until somebody confirms that one works.

I retested after turning off battery management.
It charged at the same speed as lightening cable.

Now I am consistently getting 10.5 w from both bricks and magsafe with the battery optimization on.

Maybe the new phone needed to be broken in.

My iPhone 12 is doing the same thing. I have to reboot my iPhone every morning for it to work. I’ve tried multiple wireless chargers including ones bought directly from Apple like the new Belkin one. Something is definitely up.

My iPhone 12 pro works with the clear apple case on my previous charging pad that I used with my iPhone 11 Pro max.

Sounds like it is an upright charger? If so, the coil placement changed from 11-12, so they don't really line up right anymore. Compatibility is hit or miss.

I'm finding this out as well. My Anker standup wireless charger which worked fine with my Xs now will not charge if the phone is upright. If I place it on its side then it will charge but upright the charger will appear to start to charge and then stop with the blue light flashing.

Same here. I have two Anker chargers. Both worked yesterday with my 12. Now only one works.
