iPhone 12 Pro in Graphite and iPhone 12 in Blue Shown Off in Unboxing Videos

My 70 year old in-laws are buying new iPhones now for the first time since their flip phones won't work anymore. They have no chargers, and are already peeved to learn they need to buy that too.

Then I look at this video and see that Lightning to USB-C cable and just shake my head further. I can already see it. They're going to tell me they keep plugging the wrong end of the cable into the phone/charger because they can't tell which end is correct.

And this is for an iPhone SE. An iPhone that never harmed anyone. But now gets gipped out of a charger and has a confusing cable for no reason whatsoever.

I have a solution. And remember it’s a solution, not the only one, and if your in-laws accept it. If they are not stuck on having the latest iteration they can go to their local carrier store and pick up the iPhone 11 for a now reduced price of $599. I could be mistaken but I think the carrier stores, with whatever stock they have left, still have the charger and the earphones bundled in the box. Apple is still selling the iPhone 11 but they are now selling them without the charger as well.

Yes, it will lift up which will be annoying, I agree. That's why there has to be more to this than meets the eye. Otherwise, it's a pointless solution, hardly better than just plugging in a Lightning cable. I think we're headed for a port-less iPhone eventually, as some others have mentioned.

Apple stops sending adapters with their products because "everyone has one".
Apple changes the adapter.
Apple will not ship anybody the new adapter.

I never heard about this. Apple is not shipping adapters? Who told you? 🙄
 
I want to see the gold one. I'm not iusually ino gold, but the images of it look good.

Also, I'm hoping Apple brings MagSafe to the iPad.

It'd be great to have a stand that both charges the iPad and allows for popping it on and off like you can with the Magic Keyboard.

That way you can SideCar with an MBA and have the screens oriented nicely.
 
Damn, the shiny flat stainless steel band and the frosted glass look sick! I wish the mini had this design too.
 
I just feel these one off color iPhones that Apple releases throughout the years diminish in value more than the more than the mainstream gray and silver. For instance, whats the resale value on a rose gold or potentially the midnight green iPhone 11 Pro or Pacific Blue will be in the years to come?
 
So, an unboxing video that shows the full color back of the phone for about 2 seconds?! Then a lot of time looking at a white screen cover and the phone edges? why post something that doesn't give us a good, long look at the product? I like the blue (what i saw of it).

I couldn't care less about resale value. I buy products to make ME happy, not the next owner! People who want to maximize resale value buy their Porsches in silver...personally, I'd prefer Python Green, Miami Blue, or Lava Orange.

This is my thought as well. Granted I’m SOOOO tired of getting my phone in morning an seeing that it did not charge at all on the current charger so I’m getting one. But I guess it might need something in bottom side to hold it.

Double sided tape 😉 that doesn’t work a couple of nails will do the trick 😳😂
 
What about getting a circle magnetic sticker to put on your old wireless base charger? Pretty sure those are on production right now :) if you leave your phone overnight you dont need 15w, with 7w or less you will get a full charge anyway.
 
That blue iPhone 12 looked great in the Apple promo material but really awful in all those leaked photos and videos... now I'm torn between the black and the white one, white only because I assume the edge will hold up longer from wear and tear because it's unpainted.
 
That blue is just so cheap :( I never would have expected such a ****** color from an Apple device. Even the 5c line had a much better blue shade.
