I just picked up my iPhone 12 Pro Pacific Blue 128GB from the Apple Store in Sydney Australia.

First impressions:
  • Coming from an iPhone 11 Pro Max and I am already loving the lighter weight
  • The pacific blue colour is beautiful. It's a cross between midnight green and space grey with a touch of teal. You get different colours in different lighting conditions
  • The squared off edges make it really nice to hold and it's less slippery compared to the curved edges of the last few years
  • Can’t tell the difference in the photos being taken compared to the 11PM. But then I’m no photographer
  • Match made in heaven when paired with the plum silicone case, but it doesn’t magically attach easily like they showed in the event.
  • MagSafe works as intended and the magnet attachment is quite strong I’ll watch out for the indent or ring on the back of the case shown in another thread
  • Still setting up my eSIM with my provider so will report back with 5G speeds once that’s done
Happy to take questions! Will try and answer when I’m on breaks from working from home :D

Some photos - Includes size comparison between the 11 Pro Max in a forest green leather case.

Sort of on the fence whether to go Pro or Pro Max after seeing the 12 Pro next to the 11 Max which I have. Still got some time to decide.

Yellow screen? Do you have settings same as your 11 pro max? A lot of lost realestate between the 2. I'd Get rid of that plum with white specks case ;)
The settings are identical. It seems to happen every year when people compare their new and old phones side by side.

The speck is dog hair LOL. Everything I own is covered in dog hair and I’ve learnt to live with it.

Coming from a max phone, what made you decide for this over the 12 pro max?
I loved the 11PM for the screen size but it was very heavy and I can't take photos one handed without fearing it'll fall out of my hands. It was straining my wrist and pinky as well.

the 12P is much nicer in the hand and more manageable and MUCH MUCH lighter. Will test this out for a week or so and see if I get used to it.

Awesome! You got the same exact phone I got and the same case! Nice to see some real-world photos! How much easier would you say it is for one-hand use? Coming from the 11PM as well, I've adapted to using both hands most of the time, but when I do have to use it one-handed it can get a bit tricky

It's definitely easier to use one handed and you don't feel a bit lump of weight in your hands like the 11PM. You still can't reach the upper corner of the phone but it's a lot more manageable.
