I'm a big fan of slim leather sleeves/pouches and my all time favourite has to be the Ikonic Edge which they don't seem to make anymore. For my last iPhone I bought a Ryan London sleeve which is ok but not as good as the Ikonic was.

Any suggestions for companies that make sub $100 slim leather sleeves?

I have never used a sleeve before but after seeing the Apple leather sleeve that will let you see the time I'm considering for the first time getting that for my phone....I just wish they would have them on the website to look at even if they aren't available.....

I also always have liked a sleeve for my iPhones. I purchased the Cycling Pouch they sell for my 12 Pro. It fits perfectly inside with the Apple Clear Case. I don’t cycle but really liked the fact that the iPhone has a dedicated pocket. I have purchased their Finn Wallets before and while they are really nice, I don’t like mixing my money and cards with my precious friend. Anyways, my typical use is at home I don’t use it but when going out or going two the gym (in the old days) I place my phone in the sleeve/pouch. Their Fused Suede Sleeves are also very nice. Great quality. I'm a big fan of SFBags.

I’ve always bought the joli original sleeves and they are beautiful. Last one was teal leather with orange felt.

I’m waiting to see what the apple own version is before deciding between that and a joli original.

Serious question: What are the benefits of a sleeve? It protects the phone front and back. Anything else?

The cons are it takes an additional step to use the phone since you have to take it out of the sleeve. Also when taking it out the phone is vulnerable.

I am intrigued by the sleeve design especially Apple's sleeve with a window for the time, and also because I use an Apple Watch so I wouldn't be rushed to take my phone out of the sleeve to answer a call.

im not the person who pulls their phone out every 5 minutes. i have an apple watch. i really like a sleeve for protection, especially when i have my phone in my front shorts pocket, its a lot less likely to slip out. and there are times where i put my phone in a sling or backpack and the sleeve protects it. nowadays being at home most of the time, i just have the sleeve on the side, but when going out my phone is in the sleeve.

I don’t like a case on my phone when I’m using it. It is distracting and for my use, unnecessary. When I’m home or at my desk, I don’t need a case. The only time I’ve ever dropped my iPhone is taking it in or out of my pocket. Also, pockets tend to scratch the glass and case. Using the sleeve when I put my iPhone in my pocket solves all of these problems. If you are prone to dropping your iPhone during normal activities, the sleeve doesn’t help you much.

SFbags fused sleeve can be used with the phone in a slim case. Extra peace of mind.

I’ve used Fitbag sleeves for my past few iPhones - they’re super slim and inexpensive sleeves. They don’t offer any drop protection at all really, but would prevent the phone getting scratched or scuffed in a pocket, handbag, etc. I prefer the normal leather ones, alcantara gathers too much fluff and dust for my liking.

AFAIK they’re only available easily in Europe... idk about US availability.

Yeah i have just pulled the trigger on a Fitbag leather sleeve. I am going caseless this year and want a sleeve to cart my Pro Max 12 around in so the Fitbag will do nicely until Apple bring out their new MagSafe sleeve.

I like these (used for my 11 Pro and have bought one for my 12 Pro), but the corners and top seem to go a bit misshapen after only a few days. I liked the Adore June pouch (the corners are sewn and tucked in), but can't find one for the 12 yet.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. Here's another one I came across.

I am waiting for the Apple Sleeve to use for transportation only as I am going caseless with the Pro Max. In the meantime, my leather Fitbag is on the way. It offers no drop protection but will protect against any debris. Because its a loose fit and not bulky, it will fit in my jeans pocket quite nicely as a temporary solution. Happy with this at £18.

I like the Joli. It seems the felt would give the phone some impact protection if the sleeve with phone was dropped. Are their sleeves as thick as having a case on the phone or a bit thicker?

I loved leather sleeves. I had one and used it with my iPhone 5 because I like going without a case and the square sides made the phone easy to grip. After that the edges got thinner and thinner and slicker. I ended up using a case just because the phones felt like they were going to shoot out of your hand. Now I have an 12 Pro and I can't wait for the sleeve. The phone is beautiful but I don't want to put it in my pocket with keys etc. so the sleeve is great. It's not very popular but I can't wait for it.

After exploring every option in this thread I ended up with the Fitbag leather as well. Seems to provide a good bang for the buck, will see once it arrives.
