I don’t like a case on my phone when I’m using it. It is distracting and for my use, unnecessary. When I’m home or at my desk, I don’t need a case. The only time I’ve ever dropped my iPhone is taking it in or out of my pocket. Also, pockets tend to scratch the glass and case. Using the sleeve when I put my iPhone in my pocket solves all of these problems. If you are prone to dropping your iPhone during normal activities, the sleeve doesn’t help you much.
After going caseless for a few days I understand . . . holding the phone and using the buttons is more pleasurable. Too bad more and more manufacturers have decided not to make sleeves.

Agreed but it seems most people prefer cases and more and more manufacturers are stopping the production of sleeves. I also hate the look of the textured leather sleeves and prefer smooth leather - now these are even harder to find.

Ugh, I need to re read your recommendations - now that Apple has announced the sleeve, that it’s a strap and not a closure at the end, and that MagSafe will leave marks, I think I’ll pick something else.

After exploring every option in this thread I ended up with the Fitbag leather as well. Seems to provide a good bang for the buck, will see once it arrives.

I got a custom made FitBag leather sleeve 2 yrs ago for my XR with Mujjo leather case. Very well made, great quality leather, excellent fit and customer service. I even left the sleeve outside in my garden overnight in the rain. You’d never know, no damage at all. Still looks fantastic.

highly recommend. I will be ordering another for my iPhone 12.

I have been using a Torro leather sleeve on my 12 Pro. I also just ordered the Apple Leather sleeve to check it out. I am hoping it will have some features with the time window and magsafe (like, notifications in the little window etc...).

Looks good, but I don't like the built-in hole in the bottom of the sleeve for easy access charging because I feel one of the benefits of a sleeve is that it prevents lint from building up while it's in your pocket. It's not as protective as Joli which has cushiony felt in its sleeve, but Hardgraft's sleeve has an inner pocket for cards and banknotes. It's $116 plus shipping so probably around $140 total.

Perhaps someone here is interested in getting the Hardgraft and can tell us how it's like.

Any update?
