Yeah my iPhone is getting replaced. Either it is 14.6 iOS or it’s the phone itself. My previous iPhone to this didn’t get hot at all.

Apple will ship me an advance replacement shortly.

Yeah 5-5 30 mins is the most I’m getting since 14.6. I’ve been using Tapatalk since this thread so can’t even blame safari
Have you tried a content blocker? I’m getting amazing battery life now while using safari on my 12 pro max and iPad, recommend Mozilla Firefox focus, takes 2 seconds to add the extension in safari settings.
No more battery drain, no more heat, no more ads, websites load a lot faster as well. 👌

Battery life has gone to the next level while using this content blocker.

95% battery left 1h7m usage 👌

On my 3rd iPhone 12 PM now .... I have left it on the default 14.1 iOS and it doesn't overheat at all when browsing this website or any other in general.

However now I can't use my Apple Watch unless I update to 14.6 ... unless someone knows a work around.

Can’t say I’ve ever used an ad blocker. My Apple Watch is a lot a battery nightmare right now as we. It dies around 10.00pm some nights

Highly recommend it, especially on here, battery life is back to 14.4 days, finishing the day with 50-60% battery 😃 no more heat or battery drain because of these ads.

Highly recommend Mozilla Firefox focus for your iPhone and iPad, websites are blazing quick to load without all these crazy amount of ads these websites have these days and it's only getting worse, hope apple target ads next.

Get Mozilla Firefox focus, then go into safari settings, content blockers, switch it on, safari is a 100 times quicker and better to use without all these ads.

Wish I started using a content blocker sooner.

Thanks for the recommendation. I am trying it now and it does feel faster than 1Blocker. Looks like it’s a keeper.

I just had my iPhone 12 Pro Max replaced due to this overheating issue. Saturday I was outside taking photos, in 10 minutes my screen got really dark because The iPhone was trying to cool itself off and it was dark enough to where I couldn’t see if my subject was in focus. I called Apple for the fourth time telling them that I had overheating issues again and my prior phone call to them resulted in a Genius Bar appointment at the Apple store where they did a software restore on it but that didn’t help. Yesterday I received my replacement unit and so far I have not had an issue with it overheating. So I think there are several out there that do have these problems. I guess it’s best to buy an iPhone for months or later after it comes out to allow the chaos to slow down to where they can build these iPhones slower and more carefully. It’s hard to wait, otherwise you go through what I went through.

I got my iPhone 12 pro max on the release date, of course it was winter time so I didn’t really experience this until March. Probably a heat sink issue, who knows at least I got a new phone.

Mine tends to heat up when using google maps and charging in the car. The summer sun does not help matters.

it also heats up on some safari sites. I just installed the Firefox blocker and wow website load fast.

So just an update for today. After setting up Firefox ad blocked the phone no longer gets hot and websites load very fast. Apple should really have this on by default.

it turns out I may have been at fault for the 12PM overheating in the car. I lowered my phone holder and the sun is not shining straight on so it’s been just warm not crazy hot.

Giving it a try as well. Phone got very hot again last night before I went bed and again off charge. So far no overheating

Pretty awful battery life yesterday. Granted most of the day was on 4G until 7pm
