How is that even possible lol? A screen protector causing heat???
I can see how it might make the phone retain a little heat, but removing it is a ridiculous solution.

Overheating has calmed down a lot but battery life has been bad for this phones normal usage
6% left and little over 5 hours screen time
The battery is really horrible on this iOS 14.6. I can't go beyond 5h30m screen on time.
Have you tried a content blocker? I’m getting amazing battery life now while using safari on my 12 pro max and iPad, recommend Mozilla Firefox focus, takes 2 seconds to add the extension in safari settings.Yeah 5-5 30 mins is the most I’m getting since 14.6. I’ve been using Tapatalk since this thread so can’t even blame safari

No more battery drain, no more heat, no more ads, websites load a lot faster as well.

Can’t say I’ve ever used an ad blocker
Highly recommend it, especially on here, battery life is back to 14.4 days, finishing the day with 50-60% batteryno more heat or battery drain because of these ads.
Highly recommend Mozilla Firefox focus for your iPhone and iPad, websites are blazing quick to load without all these crazy amount of ads these websites have these days and it's only getting worse, hope apple target ads next.
Get Mozilla Firefox focus, then go into safari settings, content blockers, switch it on, safari is a 100 times quicker and better to use without all these ads.
Wish I started using a content blocker sooner.
Hope they bring it to macOS.Thanks for the recommendation. I am trying it now and it does feel faster than 1Blocker. Looks like it’s a keeper.
All thanks to @LFC2020So just an update for today. After setting up Firefox ad blocked the phone no longer gets hot and websites load very fast. Apple should really have this on by default.
it turns out I may have been at fault for the 12PM overheating in the car. I lowered my phone holder and the sun is not shining straight on so it’s been just warm not crazy hot.
