Got it, now to work out how to transfer my eSim without visiting Etisalat.... any ideas?
As far as I know you can’t .... some carriers allow the swap others don’t .... I tried to get a new QR code yesterday at MOE so that I could use it when the phone arrived. But apparently as soon as they issue a new QR it cuts your old one. So the only option would seem to be visit to the store. If anyone finds out different id be pleased to hear.

I just had a chat with them through the app and "apparently" you can do it through the app, on my app on my 11promax it says activate esim at the top of the screen, hoping once the phone to phone transfer is complete I can open the app and do the same take a photo of the QR code using my 11promax and then scan it from the 12 pro, what a palaver, otherwise Etisalat here I come, an hour to go on phone to phone transfer. also asked if I wanted to transfer my apple watches, hoping that works as well
I can't take a screenshot right now, not sure if I can navigate away from the transfer screen, don't want to risk it, but I've always had an active esim banner on my Etisalat app, ever since I activated the esim in the Etisalat branch they said it will just sit there,
During the setup process the iPhone gave me the option to transfer the esim but it came back with an error

Just been at my desk with it so far. Typing this on it now and my fat thumbs seem to be ok on the slightly smaller keyboard. Haven't tried camera or anything else yet. I'm out for a dinner shortly so will see how it fairs. Display does seem more reactive to external light but is crisp and I would say a little yellower but that will be true tone.
On the esim thing it must have been a hangover from me migrating. It's been on mine ever since I activated. It's gone now this one is active. Will try and find some 5g at some point. None at the ranches.
There is a 5G mast just gone up near me in ranches 2 not sure if it’s active yet though.
Need to do a speed test when I get in.. no cell service in my office, but outside there's also 5g in Al Barsha.

That's awesome! yeah, that is exactly why i haven't customized my icons. i can't deal with it opening shortcuts everytime.
Quite impressive! .... knowing the UAE and Etisalat I feel the extent of coverage will be pretty good fairly soon certainly in the parts of the country that matter.
The icons look pretty cool, I’ve never tried this before today but as you’ve said I find the pass through of the shortcut each time a bit annoying also you lose the long touch menu on apps that have this ? Unless I’m missing something
