Since there’s been no response to the photos i posted showing that the viewing angle is very good, I’m wondering if the original complaint was made in good faith.
A claim like that is so easily proven wrong that I'm wondering if something else is in play.

That’s a MASSIVE upgrade, but the 7 Plus is still pretty snappy. My mom still has a 7 Plus and it still gets around incredibly well. Very few hiccups. Amazing that it’s a 5 year old phone and can still take good pics, open apps very quickly, etc. The 7 Plus was one of the most memorable iPhones in my opinion.
My 7 Plus still runs great. My mom is inheriting it (replacing my sister's old 6S Plus)

I was actually on iOS 10 until a few days ago, lol. Wanted to keep 32-bit support, but it got to the point where a lot of stuff just didn't work right anymore without updating. RIP my 32-bit apps that will never be updated.

The starlight iphone 13 surprisingly is very attractive. If they gave this color to the pro, I may have went pro just for the color. Glad I chose this color and the device feels much more high quality than last years iphone 12 that had more of a cheap feeling to me. This one feels like a true premium Apple product. The starlight color is white (bright glazed white as a iphone can get so far) and the lightish gold silverish hue aluminum surroundings is appealing and the Apple Logo is dominant and stands out so it looks amazing in clear cases.

For those looking for non-pro iphones who have seen this same design repeated for the past few years, this is the one to get and the diagonal cameras is much more attractive and does not protrude too much (actually the diagonal cameras make the iphone 13 and mini the only iphones in the iphone 13 series with a new design on the back). Too bad the new ipad mini has a different yellowish starlight color. Remember, the starlight on the iphone is a completely different color and much better looking than starlight on the ipad mini.

You will not know how good the starlight color looks on the iphone from the pictures you see online.

Iphone 13

Pros
: variety of colors to choose from and more premium feel and built than last years iphone 12, camera obviously takes better pictures than the iphone 12 and point and shoot is up there with the pixels, and certain galaxy devices, video is more stable and no true issues, screen is brighter and the display seems like a totally different and better display than the iphone 12 (colors, videos, and pictures all look much better and more accurate), scrolling is smooth, cools quicker and does not heat up as fast as the 12, apps have no lag so far, speakers sound fuller than the 12, diagonal cameras, double the storage (I have 2 tb icloud), helps save you money for the newly redesigned iphone 14 pro and you may as well buy it whole price

Cons: no 120 HZ although scrolling is smooth, notch, no usb C, not much of a design change, ios 15 could have given us more, seems mostly like a smoothed out version of ios 14, really can't tell much of a difference processor or gpu wise compared to 12 but no issues, not really exciting as a upgrade

Pros are greater than the cons, therefore a good purchase if coming from the iphone 8, X, 11, or 12 based on decent hardware upgrades and overall user experience.

At this point, revolutionary for Timmy would be to put USB C on their phones. That's how dire the situation is.

…he said, as iphone 13 breaks all sales records because what people really care about is battery life and cameras, and not the nonsensical half-baked “features” that samsung and google keep adding and then losing a year later when they found out nobody wanted them…

I actually think the macro mode on the camera is huge, though I won't be buying it. I hope it stays for future releases of the phones. I can fully understand that not everyone cares about macro shots, but for those that do, even infrequently, that seems like a really solid addition. I am actually blown away at how good some of those shots looked where )it seems) you didn't really try very hard to be able to get a quality shot. Jumping between lenses is pure software, I would think, and while I do agree that seemed a little clunky, I am betting it gets improved.

You still get the stickers ... I like that lol. The first review that i'd actually watch

Well.. Apple is doing too much to an iPhone these days i think..,. I mean you have a camera, that can now also do macro as well (not very well)P, but it's a start.

Use the tool for the job. Apple wants this to be the only thing you'll ever need for all your photography. If Apple doesn't fix that, it might push more people to get attachments anyway so ...hooray for the accessory makers.

My annoyance is apples photos of products are extra misleading these days.

Example:

*The pacific blue iPhone 12 Pro looked way lighter in the pictures and it’s not. It’s a dark navy almost

*gold iPhone 12 Pro is actually a champagne and not gold like photos

*Even the iPhone 13 pro looked like a nice sky blue color but in reality it’s a grey blue color.

I hate these misleading photos. Feel like the only option is to see the phones in person before purchase. I get photos of products always look their best for marketing but the colors are misleading.

Pacific blue is most certainly not “dark navy”

Absolutely not worth it if you already have an iPhone 12 Pro or Pro Max in my opinion. Pro-motion is nice, but most apps don't take advantage of it. Battery life is sweet for sure, but I never ran out of battery in a day on the 12 Pro Max so that not a big deal. Cameras are very nice upgrade, but again not vastly. Overall I recommend the iPhone 13 hands down, but only for those upgrading from iPhone 11 or older.

Small but meaningful improvements, if you want the refined version of a design then this is the one to buy, if you want more funky features and a new design then next is the safe bet.

I picked up my 13 mini this morning. There were only 7 people in line about a half-hour before the Apple Store opened, and I was number 4. I was ushered into the store right when it opened and got my phone within a few minutes. When I left the store, no one was in line. So although others apparently aren't excited about this release, I'm quite happy. My new mini has a bigger battery, smaller notch, better camera and better cellular radio. If it turns out to be true that Apple will be discontinuing the mini, this iPhone will have to tide me over for quite a while. If they do continue making the mini, the 13 should still last me for quite a while.
Had the exact opposite experience. Line was already 50+ deep & growing when I arrived 15 minutes before my pickup window. Didn’t get ushered in until 30 minutes after I was supposed to pickup. Place was a mad house.

So I got for a serial updater maybe not that much difference. But from an XR or XS MAX to an iphone 13 PRO MAX?
I think the new flat design, much bigger (better?) camera system, smaller notch, and ProMotion should make the 13 Pro feel like a new phone and less iterative coming from my 11 Pro. I will be honest, however, I am mainly upgrading this year due to the outrageous deal Verizon has going. Otherwise, my wife and I were ready to replace our batteries in our 11 Pros and go another 12 months, but it's costing just $12/month extra to upgrade to 13 Pro for me and 13 Pro Max for her.

Upgrading from the X to the 13 Pro, and looking forward to its arriving next month. Guess I waited a bit too long to preorder.

Since I take a lot of photos with my iPhone, this upgrade seems worthwhile to me. The main thing I'm concerned about is the larger size (once I've added a case).

What outrageous deal? I usually pay cash for my phones, but if there is a deal going on that is too good to be true...

So Verizon is giving us $1000 each for our 11 Pros…We both opted for 256GB options int he 13 Pro models so it’s costing me the sales tax on $1099 256GB 13 Pro plus the cost difference between the $999 128GB 13 Pro and $1099 256GB 13 Pro, or just $99 over 2 years = just over $4/mo for my phone and $8/mo for my wife’s 13 Pro Max.

VZW is basically paying you to buy the phones. Nice!

We still love our 11 Pros but couldn’t pass that up! I think the changes made in the last 2 years to design and cameras were enough to justify, plus my wife wanted the 11 Pro Max but we ended up with the 11 Pro so she’s pretty excited to get the bigger display.

I’m not sure what case you use, but I’ve been running the Pitaka aramid (like carbon fiber) magnetic case on my 11 Pro and already have the 13 Pro case (just waiting for phone to get here this weekend). It’s super slim, grippy, extremely durable. It doesn’t provide any real protection to the front is the big downside, but the back and sides are covered. I have AppleCare+ so for me, the $29 screen replacement offsets the reduced frontal protection. Just throwing that out there since you have concerns with size of 13 Pro.

Apple marketing at it's best, not sure why they didn't adjust the naming convention earlier. For those of you who don't realize, the iPhone 13 is basically the iPhone 12S

The 'S' models (4S, 5S, 6S etc.) had minor updates to their predecessor, which made the general public less likely to upgrade and instead wait for the big number change. Now that they got rid of the 'S', people think the iPhone 13 is a major update from the iPhone 12, lol

Anyone else notice that the internal packaging where the USBC - Lighting cable sits….is ideally shaped for the MagSafe charger?
