Brightness at 60-65%

I was using 5G outside for maybe an hour.
That’ll do it, brightness is a killer, add 5G on top of that, explains the battery life, my brightness is on 35/40% plus WiFi.

Reckon you have nothing to worry about, wouldn’t bother restoring again.

35/40% brightness is too low for me lol. I always need it to be 50% or more.
Maybe I should turn off 5G tomorrow and see how I go.

Are you guys charging to 100%? I’m not going over 80%.

To each their own. My personal opinion is that the phone is meant to make my life easier and not the other way round. While sleeping is the best time to charge it and coming from the day and age of having to charge phones every night, it is just a habit. Prime reason why I never have an issue with 'how much battery' will I get when buying a phone.

That’s only when I’m indoors, outdoors I bump it right up lol, can’t really go anywhere at the moment, 🔒🏠 I’ve disabled 5G, got it set to 4G.

Test your phone out one day only on WiFi and lower the brightness a bit, guarantee you, you’ll get amazing battery life.

Absolutely, my phone has to be charged to 100% 365 days a year, I’m very OCD like that lol.

Time: Tuesday 8pm. On an iphone 13 pro. 30% brightness. mostly on cellular. only browsing safari,ig,fb etc. no gaming. battery life feels a little underwhelming.

I've been running with average of 35% brightness and almost 100% Wi-Fi usage (I don't have 5G either, only 4G) and only getting about 8 hours screen-on, 1 hour screen-off for 95% discharge. Light use only (web browsing, social media, a tiny bit of video watching).

Just called Apple about it and the agent said that it wasn't a bad result. I disagreed with him and said upwards of 12-15 hours depending on use (light/heavy) seems to be typical for this phone. I mentioned I was in my 14 day return period and would ideally like a replacement device as a result, they said no problem at all.

I thought they kept some reserve stock for replacements for issues? They've processed a return + replacement and in my order status, I'm getting a November date for the replacement...

Lots of browsing and listening to Spotify :

It’s been almost 36 hours since charging to 100% and I’ve just crossed the 50% line.

I’m sorry by what is “SOT”?

Have iPhone 13 Pro set up from iPhone 11 Pro. Seem to be having poor battery life each day. Total usage is low, but only 25-30% at end of day. Last night (first image) was 27%.
Just used Waze to get to a meeting. Battery screen shows Maps making big impact. Have seen Maps high at a couple of times, but this is the strangest. (Second image)

If the SOT is a rolling 3 hour period, how do I calculate how much total SOT I have used?

The 24hr graph is a rolling 24hr period that is updated once every 3hrs (updates at 12/3/6/9 o’clock) - the latest 3hr period rolls on, as the oldest 3hr period rolls off. It will always give you the total SOT for the 24hr period it is displaying. If you want to know more than 24hrs, then you have to go to the 10day graph, which will only calculate your average (of the 10days) SOT. If you want cumulative, you can touch each individual ‘day’ and manually add them up. I am not aware of SOT tracking or calcs beyond the 10day graph.

52% Remaining

Im one of them nerds who follows 80% - 30% battery charging pattern. For that very reason my year old 12 Pro Max was still at 100% Battery Health when I sold it.

How do you charge your phone? MagSafe or cable? Fast charge? Overnight on a dock or during the day? sorry for all the questions but I had massive battery issues with my 12 previously as the battery health dropped to 86% after 9 months so trying to learn how to charge my 13 pro better!

I will add that after a 11 months my 12 Pro Max is at 93%. I am a pretty heavy user. When I got the 12PM the battery was ridiculous. Now it it significantly worse. I took phone of the charger almost 4 hours ago and am at 80%. I did notice that Reddit is running in the background. I turned background app refresh off for Reddit but it seems to be ignoring that with over an hour of background this morning. I closed the app to see if that resolves.. if not, I will delete the app.

Slow charge via cable mostly.

Fast charge via cable if im in hurry or going out.

No wireless charging for me. Heat kills the battery.

Ive got home kit plug set up for night charge controlled by shortcut automation. When battery reaches 80% they switch off.

Ahh ok, thank you so much for the response. I’ll take that all on board!
