My main apps were twitter, Tapatalk (which is what I use for these forums pretty much when on my phone) Reddit and just the odd sports apps. So mainly twitter, Tapatalk,Reddit are my main apps

Looks like you were well on the way for 9 hours as well if you ran it down
yeah probably 9h but way more Wifi than you but I'm using Tapatalk, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat (all 3 Apps not often), News, Reddit etc. Probably the social media apps burn more battery + using Nuki Smart Lock with Auto Unlock if I'm near my lock.

Everytime I unlock my Pro I see the location arrow on the top left corner. I disabled everything except find my iphone. Anyone else noticed this too?

iPhone 13 pro max
iOS 15
Screen brightness 40%, turned off 5G Auto and just 4G for 30 mins, wifi other times turned off iCloud photo upload while on mobile.
Down to 55% battery. Better results than yesterday I think?
I think macrumors on safari eats up a lot of battery. I already have content blockers on.

Despite some drain overnight after doing a reset and restore, I might be getting better results so far today… though I want to do a more thorough analysis before concluding I’m out of the woods!

I’m currently at 3 hours screen on, 16m off and around 23% drained, including the overnight drain.

When I total up my SOT I get 162 min. (First Screen) When I go to the today section i get 2:13 which is 30 min less. Can someone check that? Shouldn‘t it be the Same?

I think it's caused by the Weather app. I had the same thing, disabled location services for weather and it fixed it.

i will try, altough I already turned location off for my homescreen widget (just using my hometown as weather widget)

A couple of these shots show almost no, or no, Screen Off time. Do you folks have background refresh turned off?

10 hours. 3h 4m Screen On. 2h 36m Screen Off. 30% battery left. As you can see, not very intense use over those 10 hours. We'll see if it improves next couple of days.

Yeah, the Pro Max seems to have stellar battery life! I will post my day two results for my iPhone 13 in a few hours but so far I am very impressed!

I’m not impressed yet, but I also just got the device yesterday. My iPhone 13 battery went from 100 to 38 in 8 hours while at work. As stated above. It could just be a break in period though. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

If everyone would stop looking at the battery stats, there’d be no problem.
If the battery lasts long enough for you to do what you need before plugging it in - that’s all that matters.

The erroneous battery reporting stats in iOS 15 are driving people crazy.
Pro Tip: Stop looking at it

Can anyone remark on this result?
  • 15.0 19A346
  • 75% remaining (after 14 hrs and only 1.2 hrs of use; much of PocketCasts use is from yesterday)
  • iPhone 13 Pro
Oddly overnight I saw a lot of Find My and Home app battery consumption.

Anyone with battery problems:

Do you see the location arrow often? I see it every few minutes/After every unlocking. Maybe thats the issue?

That’s the one. If the status bar icon is set to ON, that location arrow will always light up. Location data is always getting sent out if anything in Location Services is set to On.

Honestly I’m not impressed with the 13 pro max battery. I don’t know if it’s because my phone works with an Esim or what but I’m not blown away with battery life and my standby times are not good at all. I know I’m in the minority here but damn. I’ve ordered a SIM card not just for that but also because I like to switch phones as I please.

All day 13 Pro. 4 hour 9 min SoT.
2h 2 min off screen.
Are my expectations really high or are these numbers kinda okay?
