I am now at home and I am not convinced there is a screen protector on this iPhone. And it’s scratched. What action should I propose to Apple tomorrow if indeed the screen protector wasn’t applied correctly / at all? Screen repair. Replacement? Along with better training on the Belkin machine?!
Get a refund & buy the phone again.

Don’t bother getting a screen protector, haven’t used one since my XS Max, screen is still flawless.

Phone from carrier.
Yeah I’d love to not have one but clearly need one with scratches already on a phone they’d been used 24 hours.

Try your luck at a  apple, you’re not the first person that’s had their phone scratched by that stupid screen protector machine.

Good luck.

I suspect you have no idea what you’re talking about mate.

Whoah that just sucks. I always install my own glass protector. Never really used Belkin though so I wouldn't know. Was offered one at JB hifi when I was looking for glass protector as they have that Belkin machine one available.

I have a bit of an issue:
On Saturday I collected my Alpine Green iPhone. Went to Apple to have a Belkin screen protector applied. They only had ‘anti glare’ so went for it - never had one before.
Surprised me how the anti glare looked … like the glass one. But hey, I watched him do the machine etc. It was all very rushed.

He hands it to me and I note “oh it goes over the front cameras” and he says “yes”.

If you noticed enough to say that the screen protector goes over the front cameras, how did you manage to unsee it and think there wasn't a screen protector installed?

Have you a pic?

The store was packed, I was served between two iMacs! I was using my existing iPhone for 2 days after cus didn’t have time to set it up.

I literally said “oh they go over the cameras now” and the specialist said yes “feasible I thought I knew there were some issues with the the screen protectors at launch”

How I noticed? Using the phone for the first time since I had it ‘installed’ and taking it out if the leather case the specialist put it straight into!

So people is now changing their iphones in 6 months to upgrade colors?? Iphone 14 is “around” the corner, I can’t understand to buy a new iphone now at least you have the necessity to do it…

Only got the Alpine Green iPhone because my Sierra Blue iPhone was returned due to connectivity issues

I was offered an Alpine Green one in return as it'd have been a weeks wait for the Blue one (all by post)

Glad I went for the Green one now!

But what's it got to do with you if folk want to swap their iPhones for a different colour; that's their choice, no one elses... 🤨

So can you post up a picture?

I can't imagine it's that difficult to discern if there is a screen protector fitted or not!

I can't think of any reason why the Apple specialist would go through the motions of fitting a screen protector and not actually doing so.

If an anti glare protector was indeed fitted then it's fairly easy to tell, for one, it's plastic. Two, if you tilt the phone side on to say 45 degrees and look at the screen you'll not have any reflections and it'll be difficult if at all possible to read the screen.

Wow these green phones are gorgeous. I’m happy for everyone getting theirs and sharing the photos so I can live vicariously through you lucky dawgs!

Apple does well with green. I’m using a mint green iPhone 11 right now that I love so much, as this shade was a favorite of mine in the late 1980’s.

I had a gorgeous green 12 mini last year. I had the Midnight green 11 Pro a couple years ago. But I think Apple really outdid themselves this year. For both the Pro and non Pro, this deep green is stunning. I hope to start seeing them out in public soon. So far I haven’t spotted any, unless they’re stuck in a black case or something.

If I could get one, for certain I would use an Apple Leather or Silicone case in a matching green. At home, no case at all.

H
Anyway, I would like to see 13 pro model in alpine green with midnight leather case. Just for comparison…
Had the midnight leather link watch band for a few days, it’s mainly black, with a slight hint of blue in bright lighting, the blue color wasn’t that noticeable.

Picture a black leather case with a green iPhone pro.

Well, ask and ye shall receive…
Here is the Alpine green pro max with the midnight leather case, bought at launch date back in September 2021.
Btw, how do you guys clean the camera area between the lenses? It attracts a lot of dust, and it’s much more visible with the green phone than the sierra blue model.

I breathe on the camera area then wipe it on my t-shirt lol.

Get yourself a microfiber cloth if you want to wipe in between the cameras.

I saw it last night in person, man that is a nice looking phone color!

Out of curiosity, I did ask Apple employees if trading in a 6 month old Graphite to the Alpine Green is possible. That's a flat out no. (The two employees even seemed upset themselves because "they couldn't do it," stated "believe me, I tired")

Anyway, in some goofy way I - and my wallet - was relieved to hear that because my spontaneous self would have given in and traded right then and there...probably shelling out a few $$ more. LOL

ALSO...unrelated to the green phone, the Apple Store had a leather Apple dark blue case, this is a leather Abyss Blue.

Ok, sorry if this may sound stupid...I actually had no idea this came in leather for the 13/13 Pro's (I know they have it in silicone.) No idea, I never saw this color option on the Apple site so this was new to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️
