Here are a couple of real life pictures of that combo. One taken in regular indoor lighting and one in direct sunlight.
The different lighting makes it look like two different cases.
I think it looks good

Well, I do love the Alpine Green, but not about to get a new phone 6 months in.
I have the Sequoia Green leather case for my Graphite...which I still love (I do swap cases often..total of 4 now, which is far better than 9 I had for my 12 PM in 6 months lol)

BUT I would get a minimalistic looking Alpine Green'ish case for the phone.
Something like this...slightly similar to some thin Sierra Blue case with shiny "steel looking" sides I've seen elsewhere.

I recently just heard of this Shein, mixed reviews about delivery. Misleading listings.
Quality as well.

Just wondering if this is normal or not I just picked the phone up from the store last night. Opened it today installed the screen protector after which noticed what appears to be a sort of white line or different colored border around the perimeter of the phone maybe a quarter of an inch off the edge on the frosted back portion. Then more going across the back of the phone under the cameras seem to be the same as around the outside. Not sure if it is normal or not coming from a xs max I have no clue just a little bummed when I noticed it because it is definitely noticeable that wouldn’t seem normal but harder to show in a picture. I tired to taking a couple in sun that maybe would show it. Any input is appreciated

Nothing to worry about, my sierra blue iPhone looks exactly the same.

I don’t see any on yours. I don’t see any on my SB PM either. Not quite sure what they are.
It’s a slight color shift right on the edge of the frame, all the frosted iPhones have this look, barely noticeable.

Is that a cover on the phone ? Why is the phone two shades of green? The camera area
Looks lighter like the air 4 green
No cover lol, that photo was taken at the apple store.

That’s the glass camera bump that’s making the matte finish look like that.

Agreed mine is in off the edges like I believe you are referring to. Not right on the edges where it meets the sides of the phone and like the other user is describing as being a normal feature of the frosted backs which is fine with me just wasn’t sure about the actual lines sort of in the back.

Is this what you’re describing as being the color shift where it is moreless a white line aways off the sides of the phone? The two under the cameras run straight across the back of the phone as well. Not saying you’re wrong in any way simply trying to figure out if it’s normal

Now I can see what you’re talking about, I’m talking about something different.

Them lines look barely noticeable, have you tried wiping them off?

This does not look normal at all. I would initiate a return and get a brand new iPhone. It's a manufacturing defect. Issues with the color coating seem like. Sorry, 😔. They will honor the return without any questions asked.

Thanks for the reply and yes unfortunately I have with microfiber from the screen protector and one of the slightly damp screen cleaning clothes in the little packages but didn’t come off. It’s definitely less noticeable in pictures than in person but not as noticeable as some other things could be either

If it’s really bugging you, return it & get a new one.

Apple return policy is awesome.

I checked the back of my Graphite (I realize that's a totally different color) and see no outline like this. It seemed barely noticeable, BUT...in your mind it's there and I totally get how it may bug you.

As mentioned already, could be a paint defect...something. If you are still in the return period, I would swap it. :)If there is one thing Apple does right, ZERO questions when exchanging in the return period, even on a day 16 day I got a pass - from the manager approval - with an Apple Watch 4 thankfully, swapped from Aluminum to SS few years ago.

So people is now changing their iphones in 6 months to upgrade colors?? Iphone 14 is “around” the corner, I can’t understand to buy a new iphone now at least you have the necessity to do it…

Anyone has the alpine green model with leather case in midnight? I have doubts between that color and green for the case…

I have a bit of an issue:
On Saturday I collected my Alpine Green iPhone. Went to Apple to have a Belkin screen protector applied. They only had ‘anti glare’ so went for it - never had one before.
Surprised me how the anti glare looked … like the glass one. But hey, I watched him do the machine etc. It was all very rushed.

He hands it to me and I note “oh it goes over the front cameras” and he says “yes”.

I am now at home and I am not convinced there is a screen protector on this iPhone. And it’s scratched. What action should I propose to Apple tomorrow if indeed the screen protector wasn’t applied correctly / at all? Screen repair. Replacement? Along with better training on the Belkin machine?!
