It amazes me how a color of a phone matters to some people. I have always had a case and bought the color that had in the stock period it's just a phone. And those that don't use a case is another thing I can't understand. All of my cases have been black or blue nothing fancy just basic protection.

We all have our own preferences. But, this is my explanation, why?
Never been a big fan of cases. I think it kills the premium feel. Yes, it's there for protection. However, I rather use a front and rear screen protector to cover it up. The last time I used a case on an iPhone was when I had iPhone 3GS. Ever since the iPhone 4 was released it pretty much game over because I love the way the glass felt. Never looked back. Ever since then I've been rocking my iPhone completely naked. Never dropped my iPhone either. I baby it all the time.
I always buy a case when I first get my iPhone, usually lasts a week or 2 before I ditch it and keep my phone naked.
I agree with @TheYayAreaLiving 🎗 that it ruins the premium feel of the iPhone which is honestly one of the main reasons I love iPhone so much.

So you spend $200 more for a phone that has way more storage than what you actually need, just to have "the best of the best" and the "top tier of the line"? And then buy a second one just for the color? Must be nice to have money to burn. Enjoy your phones.

For me, I’m going have to reserve my judgment until I can actually see a finalized production model. But I’m also one where the notch never bothered me either, where others literally took it personally when Apple introduced it with the iPhone X.
there are certain features that easily can help me look past a ‘hole punch’, like if Apple would introduce the Periscope lens this year, (which I know they’re not), those are things that are key selling points for me over aesthetics.
I actually like the notch, the extra screen real estate above the turd pill hole is pointless, looks uglier than the notch.
I’m actually curious to see if that’s actually even the final design or not. And the reason I say that is, it’s still a little early, even though we should start seeing chassis leaks probably starting in May, which probably will somewhat verify if that’s really the route Apple chooses.
My other question I have, does that change any other type of functionality switching over to the ‘Pill’ cutout is just for a more minimalistic aesthetic.
