I don’t know if it’s just me, we bought new iPhones together with my wife. She has a 13 Pro and I got the 13 Pro Max.

We have them for about a month and the experience has been all but great for us.

The first thing that we both are experiencing are screen touch issues that we can’t fix even with hard resets / software updates. The phone won’t wake up when it’s supposed to, apps freeze a lot of times and we need to close and open them again. At times, they don’t even load properly.

CarPlay sometimes stops working and we need to restart the phone for the actual sound to come off the music that’s playing on the phone, even though the output is set to CarPlay and we see the audio playing on the iPhone.

None of these annoyances happened on iPhone 12 or 11 Pro Max.

Did anyone have a similar experience with the new devices or is it the fault of iOS?

The only thing that truly stands out is the 13 Pro Max’s spectacular battery life.
Mimiron, regardless of the raves with which some are responding to your post about how marvelous their iPhone 13s are, my family are having all of the same issues you list… and many more.

We purchased our Pro Max 13s in December 2021 and all of them are a nightmare.

We have to constantly reboot our iPhones, due to our screens freezing many times each day; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

When it doesn’t, it’s back to repeatedly rebooting until the manufacturing or software glitch is suppressed — temporarily.

Also, contrary to what some have said regarding ‘updates should’ fix those issues, the updates don’t do squat to fix anything on our 13s.

There are more issues that drive us crazy, but, suffice it to say, we’ve always had iPhones and all of them have been fantastic… except these iPhone 13 POS.

I'm pretty sure this thread is a troll and should be locked. There are not massive widespread issues with the 13 lineup or it wouldn't be selling like it is

I cannot speak regarding the original poster being a troll, but, troll or not, my family are having all the issues the poster mentions and more.

I will not speak for all 13s, but all of ours are a POS and everyone of our other iPhones were marvelous.

How can you say this when Tim Cook said this is the greatest iPhone yet
I’m saying the same thing, too.

Every one of the six iPhones we’ve had have been excellent with not your me problem — except for the POS 13s we bought December 2021. They worked well for approximately four to six weeks. After that, they all turned into nightmares.

I’m fairly critical of Apple and don’t agree with the direction they’re taking in many thing. However, I do think your experience is definitely not consistent with that of the majority. Get a replacement or sell it, but most of us are perfectly happy with our iPhone 13 Pro Max models, myself included. Are they perfect? Hell no! But at least I do think they’re the best iPhones and for me better than the competition
The majority doesn’t matter.

One of the functions of this board is to air issues being experienced by ourselves, individually, and not be called to account with: The majority of us aren’t having issues.

Except that in this case the OP (troll) was implying widespread issues, which definitely are not the case, and would involve either a majority or at least a significant number of affected issuers

Our phones are fine now, I think a software update fixed all the issues. We mainly had app freezes during scrolling and the screen was not responding when the phones first came out, but all problems are gone now.

Now that I’ve had my 13pm for almost a year. For the most part it’s a good device. Does everything I want it to. But if you actually utilize the 90-120hz. It will heat up to the point of screen dimming to 50%. All of that cpu power, and it chokes itself out when used.

Other than that, it’s a good device for what you have to do daily.

I’ve never turned off my promotion and I’ve had it since launch day, no issues. Have you taken it to apple?

I have had and continue to have screen touch issues. Across all iPhone 13 models, from Mini to Pro Max

I’ve only had this happen outdoors in 98+ degree heat. Never had it happen indoors
In all my years of iPhone ownership, this has only happened to me one time--it was 95+ degrees outside, the sun was fully out, and I had my phone out of my pocket in direct sunlight trying to show my friend how AirTags work. I had his daughter hide my keys in the yard and was trying to find them when the phone shut down for heat. Not a good time for that to happen. 😆😆😆

Like which ones?
I've owned them all. So all of them.

I can open mail and not be able to select any messages in my inbox.

I open Uber and can't select anything. Sometimes widgets don't respond. Turning the screen off and back on resolves it almost every time. So it's not a deal-breaker sort of issue, but it is annoying.
