The 14 Pro should have gone to the family member, OP clearly says they didn't need an upgrade (which coming from a 13 Pro, it clearly isn't).

Then that family member could have purchased it no?

I do not. On average, it is every 3 years. I am with you, annual upgrade is pointless

And with Apple’s best iPhone costing at least $999, it makes sense to upgrade every 3 or more years. Indeed, because of the incremental upgrades.

Glad it's there, but no. I don't see a massive improvement shooting raw. Often my shots are better with raw turned off, because I have neither the time nor inclination to go and edit the photos later, so better to let the phone make some choices for me rather than a flat photo that I'll never make choices about.

I happily upgraded from a 13PM to a 14PM but I don't think this feature alone makes it worth it to the average person.

For me, it was a good upgrade from the 12 Pro family. The speed bump, dynamic island, and much better camera (I have an 8 month old and we take a ton of pics) were worth it to me. If I had something from the 13 Pro family I probably would have stayed where I was.

And with the trade in deals stretching out the credits more. Then you can just own it straight out after 36mo and trade in without having to pay any installments off
