Isn’t that what they say every year?A year from now, Siri will be completely reborn.
Dang, kick a man when he’s down why don’t you. 😄

I may very well stick with my 13PM for the duration. I see nothing about the new ones that motivates me to jettison perfectly good equipment. Up until now I've upgraded because of the camera improvements (mainly) but after comparing the output of the 13PM with a friend's 16 I just don't see the point - the 16 ain't enough better for me to throw away a perfectly functional unit (with 1TB of memory in it). I don't give a rip about the AI stuff either. Think I'll stay put and just replace the battery when it goes TU - which ain't going to happen for awhile yet.by the list of these features it certainly looks that my 13PM is a keeper for at least another year ...
Agreed. Both the Personal Computer and Phone as platforms are in a serious plateau. Just because the vendors need to sell another one with some incremental (and I mean INCREMENTAL) improvements doesn't suggest that you should ditch perfectly operational gear that (and let's be honest guys) doesn't perform any less well for what you bought it for. Planned obsolescence is the order of the day. Upgrading is fine if it actually offers a feature you don't already have or your existing gear is failing or something but that aside it's pretty stupid to keep spending bucks to get no REAL improvement. In my case my 13PM continues to perform perfectly well. If the battery goes Tango-Uniform the guess what? I'll have Apple replace it for $100 (or maybe I'll try it myself with a kit I can get for less than $50). Enough! That's because phones have completely matured the same as desktop computers. All that's left is upgrades to the software. I don't see anything amazing that Samsung is doing either. That is probably the reason apple is going all in on VR. The day they are able to make VR small enough to the point they look like cool sunglasses or just regular glasses is the day everyone is going to want one.
I've been doing the Two Year Two-Step since the first iPhone. Usually there are just enough improvements to interest me and I always had a market for a free, two year old phone with my relatives. Now, Apple gives me good credit for turning in a phone so the system works for me.Agreed. Both the Personal Computer and Phone as platforms are in a serious plateau.
