Why get 1TB local storage?

You use it as the all-around pocket camera for photo and video... You use it to shoot non-pro/pro movies... You download videos from sites like YouTube for offline access, download music from services like Spotify, again for offline access... You use it as alternative to a portable external drive... You download so many high performance demanding games... You use it as a pocket computer to edit videos that you have shot using the same device... And many others...

But for all the possible reasons of getting one, can you afford it? Are you willing to go all in for that one device?

Got my pro :D

The minute I got signed into the store when it came up with my pre-order the delivery date for the 1TB was already showing October 6th :(. Ended up changing it to the 512 for Friday delivery.

I was thinking of going bigger than 256GB, but doesn't seem worth it to me on a phone (unless you record a lot of video... I only take photos). On an iPad though, I'll take the largest storage offered as I'll fill it with tv shows and movies.

I really don’t understand the point of 512gb or 1tb (for most people) given that iCloud exists.
I travel a lot for work, and like to have lots of offline movies available, especially that with my UK network, I have limited data in EU after a recent little change in our status ;)
I guess others may have reasons, but I suspect that in this situation, there just weren't many 1TB models available.

Do you guys really think the slipping dates is due to the overall demand of the product? This is one of the most minor updates in recent history, during a pandemic in which raw material shortages are bountiful. This is purely a supply chain issue.
No way Sir…2M+ Chinese up 33% from iPhone 12 is proof it’s definitely demand
