It also does not fall in line at all with the history of the iPhone. They have never changed the design twice in a two-year period. At most it's been a two-year cycle for a hardware refresh. I seriously doubt they'd make the notch smaller this year and have it be gone the following year.
It took 3 years to reduce the size of the notch by 1/3. It's not going to be suddenly notch-less in 2021.
He said it in a tweet that the pro max will be portless and be notchless but will see

Notch-less is a technological obstacle, not simply a planning issue.
Kuo doesn't expect periscope lens to come until 2022. I doubt notch-less is coming anytime soon.
Let's be clear... an "under display" camera still has a hole cut through the screen... but there is a loose smattering of pixels on top of it in an attempt to disguise it.
And the fact that there are pixels over the camera means that there has to be major post-processing to try to remove those pixels from the image.
Sorry... just make a thin bezel across the top of the phone and don't put extra crap in front of the camera.
While we're at it... make a matching thin bezel across the bottom of the phone to put an actual front-facing SPEAKER.

A redesigned iOS is needed, look at all that gap between the icons 🤢
I don’t want portless wireless only charging. I often used my phone plugged in to a power bank so I can use it and it’s still fully charged when I go out.

I don't understand the fascination with a buttonless device. Buttons aren't inherently bad or 'old tech.'

I don’t think it will have a port. If it ever were to adopt USB-C, it would probably be a future “micro” version, but not likely. It will use a dongle you can buy for the smart connector, which will probably move to the bottom, if you need to plug it into a Mac or use special accessories. The iPad will keep USB-C because it’s essentially becoming a Mac “lite.”
My wife is all about these smaller models. Looking forward to getting one for her to replace her first gen SE so she has a better camera.
What I don’t get is all the screen size changes lately, both for iPad and now iPhone. Why make it 5.4” this year and 5.5” the next? Either make this years model 5.5” in a slightly larger body and trim the body next year, or keep the 5.4” and make the body come down to match the screen size when the bezel is slightly reduced next year. Isn’t this really annoying for developers? I know they have tools now that make it easier but it’s still got to be a pain to test on so many display sizes.

Yea looks like crap, macrumors will post anything. This stuff was fun up till iPhone 5, but now u kind of know what to expect and all these apple rumor sites are running out of things to write about
