This is odd, but it seems like the display on iPhone 13 is more vibrant and pleasant to look at than the display on iPhone 13 Pro.

Perhaps it’s due to the LTPO OLED panel. Notebookcheck objectively measured color accuracy as being ~ 40% better on the standard iPhone 13, which I can attest to having owned an iPhone 13 Pro and currently an iPhone 13 Mini. It’s surprising, but the display on the Pro seems slightly dull in comparison. They noted a similar difference between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, which could put it down to panel variance.

Coupled with the highest and most consistent 610Hz PWM rate, I’m slightly curious to give the iPhone 13 a try as a display enthusiast since it’s measured as having the best color accuracy of the entire iPhone 13 lineup.

Gotta remember that display quality is always a lotto. Some look good and some don’t of the same model.
Only way to reach a statistically valid conclusion is to purchase 20 of the same model and compare them all to each other.
They’ll all look slightly different.

The “best” screen of a certain model will always look better than the “worst “ screen of another — and vice versa

I wish there was a comprehensive list that explained the differences between different screen manufacturers used in the iPhone 13 line up. There's a way to figure out the numbers hidden in the code, but it's understandable why Apple would try to make it as difficult as possible to try and figure it out. As far as I know and the last I checked, there is no detailed information available.

just wonder if you would feel this difference in pocket lets say on a hike or something?
Not sure about in the pocket, but the 6.1 size is already a bit on the large size for my hands and holding/handling the heavier pro wasn't very comfortable for me. The lighter 13 regular was better. I didn't have this issue with the X/XS/11Pro 5.7 size even though they were also stainless steel and heavier than their non pro counterparts. (Although in that case their non pro versions were also bigger so its a bit of an odd comparison). Its pretty individual, I'd think. Try it out, there is a 14 day return policy.

Regarding the displays, the pro-motion does seem a bit nauseating to me when I first start using it. Its a different feeling than using the regular, fixed rate refresh, non-pro 13. Both are less comfortable to my eyes than the LCD phones though.

I know the batter is suppose to last longer in the 13 pro, however, on the 13 I have it last longer... seems odd to me....same apps, same everything... any ideas??

hi, recently I switched from regular iPhone 13 to 13 pro and I have the same experience with op, 13 pro screen only little brighter under direct sunlight with auto brightness on but after few minutes it becomes dimmer than regular 13. And indoors and ab off regular 13 seems little brighter and looks more lively and pleasant to look. And regular 13 has better whites, 13 pro is looks little yellowish and washed out. Everyone focused on promotion so unfortunately there is not much talk about display quality between these models. So did I get a bad screen or this is normal I can't tell so I can use some feedback from you guys. My 13 pro panel is G9N they say this is best panel, but regular 13 definitely looks better and its really annoying.

Turn off True Tone? I see and agree with what you’re saying having both units.

True Tone already off for both phones, if I turn on True Tone 13 pro becomes more yellowish, almost like 13 pro with True Tone on, night shift off = 13 with night shift on and True Tone off.
