Well, the currency situation is at least the bulk of the issue. The Euro and US dollar are now at par, and that's remarkable IMO. In fact, technically, the Euro is actually worth slightly less than the USD now. In previous years, that would have seemed to be almost an impossibility.Why did iPhone prices rise in EU countries? is it because of import tariffs? Or because of the declining Euro (relative to the dollar)? Or, is apple being petty and raising prices to pay for EU fines/regulations (USB-c, etc)?
Last year at this time of the year, the Euro was worth almost 20% more than the USD.
Ten years ago, the Euro was worth almost 30% more than the USD.
