Wish it was a flat back. Besides that, I don't mind a few added tenths of of a millimeter thickness or a few extra grams. I can understand some people's reservations, especially if you hold it all day. That's why I prefer to go into the Apple Store & look at them first. That way, I can really know if they're too big, too small, or just right.

As most of us use a case anyway, bring on the thicc boi.
Indeed - I suspect that 90% of the people complaining about the 'wobble' have their phone in a case anyway, and if they don't, I would say they've got more things to worry about than a slightly wobbly phone when placed on a flat surface. Dirt, scratches, fingerprints, damage from dropping, all more worrisome than a 'wobble'.

I moved onto the 13 Mini because these phones are getting too heavy. Yes, I know battery life is super important. But it's getting ridiculous IMO. So happy with the Mini.
I wouldn't mind if the Mini was a little thicker in favor of battery life. But the "normal" sizes already feel huge and making them thicker isn't going to improve the situation.

I honestly don't know what I'll do when my Mini eventually gets too old. I guess I'll hope for a decent SE in a reasonable size.

So same thick bezels and now the i hole cut out will go lower than the notch so we will loose screen area, what’s the point of this change?

At this point, we are less than six months away from an announcement. I'll just wait on the final product before I make a decision on whether I'm getting the 14 Pro Max or not.

Can we get some iOS 16 leaks? Lol.
What a crazy idea; waiting until the product is actually revealed before deciding if you're going to buy it! :p

Sorry, I'm teasing you, but only because I agree. I don't understand why people are fixated on declaring that they are buying or not buying a product several months before they've even see. It's not like you have to lock in a decision months in advance.

So do we want a thicker design or not? Complaints that it's getting too thin and you want it thicker to get a bigger battery, now we're complaining that it's too thick / brickgate...make up your damn minds.
In my opinion it does look a tad ridiculous...like a camera bump on a camera bump...

Personally, I never thought the iPhone was too thin. I thought the MacBook Pro was too thin because it was sacrificing performance and cooling for looks. The iPhone has reason to be thin and light because we carry it around all day (not so with a laptop). I’m not saying the current iPhone is too thick, but I wonder when making it thicker and bigger ends.

14 Pro Max, thicker with more camera bump,...yeah baby

Will it have superior sound from speakers and a superior DAC for my AirPods Max?

A larger more powerful flashlight.

I am liking the new pill+hole notch replacement.

At what point do we just accept that John Prosser doesn’t know crap and makes stuff up?

At one point it was time for them to put some heft back in the phones.

However, every year it's getting thicker and heavier.

12 Pro Max was the limit for me.

This is working out to be a pretty exciting update. I personally liked the thicker design with a flush camera/no bump. Doesn’t seem like it’s happening. Would be nice though. A slightly thicker design would also have implications for better battery life and cooling.

USB-C would be nice but if they at least upgrade the USB controller on the lightning port, that would be a decent compromise. Transferring data at USB 2 speeds on a “Pro” device is embarrassingly laughable. Especially when 4K video footage is involved.

If the pill design frees up enough space by the top of the screen to let me have my battery percentage readout back, that would be great. Otherwise, honestly the best upgrade they could make for iOS is to support FLAC in the Music app. Don’t really have many other gripes beyond that. If this is the last iPhone before they go portless; it’ll be a good iPhone for me to end on since I will not buy a portless iPhone.

Im good with my 12 Pro Max for now...We will see whats true about these rumors but Im not fan of Pill-Shaped and Circular Cutouts. I will definitely wait for all screen display without notch or this for my next gen iPhone

Since they are doing away with the mini why not replace it with a thin model, maybe 5.8” to 6.1” screen with flush camera lenses for those of us that are not “professional” photographers?
