My September 2023 14 PM: 454 cycles, iOS 18.7.2 from settings 86% and from Coconut 88.1%.

I had been very annoyed with its overall performance for months, but above all, the keyboard lag was unbearable.
I did the date change trick, the “clear RAM” trick, reduced motion, and made some keyboard adjustments, and now it runs like a bullet. It seems to have gone back to iOS 17 or 16. I hope to use it for at least two more years.

I just traded in my 14 Pro Max for a 17 Air two days ago. It still had 86% battery health and could still easily get me through a full day. The Air feels a bit snappier at everything (surprisingly, because the 14PM wasn’t laggy at anything I did), but it was far too heavy.

If this Air doesn’t work out, I’m trading it in for a 17 Pro. After getting the Air, which surprisingly is small enough to safely use single-handed, I realized how much I missed being able to. No more Max phones for me.

My mom's 14PM bought at release is at 83% and she just drove over it today. It had an OtterBox case and screen protector that I bought for her, the screen protector is destroyed but not a single scratch on the phone or the case. I am an android user but Apple keeps pulling me back in...

The question is would this incident pull you over to the Apple side or not?!

So far it seems there’s nothing major except for a separate folding variant.
Not a big fan of the form factor of the Apple folding phone, I might just trade my ZF7 get the Z Fold 9 or S28U. I really wanted the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, unfortunately they're all blocked by US carriers.

Two weeks ago I hit 500 cycles; upgrading to 26.4 from 18.7.2 was the best move. Ever since I tried iOS 18, I knew something was seriously wrong with my phone—it’s the iOS version I’ve liked the least so far.

Surprisingly, despite my initial rejection of iOS 26, I’m actually quite happy with the system’s stability right now—but I had to wait for 26.4. 86% BH in settings
