So far my 14PM is averaging between 20-25% of battery consumption a day since Friday/Saturday.
Has been on wifi though as i have not left the home and AOD is turned off.

Day 4 (full day)
Battery usage = 57%
Screen active = 5 hr 57 mins
Screen idle = 1 hr 6 mins

AOD OFF
Background refresh OFF
4G for 2 hours approx
Wifi the rest of the time.

Seems like this is the sort of screen active time we will get. Until apple updates iOS 16 to be more energy efficient.

Definitely feels like the 13 PM had better battery life.

Having the same issues as well compared to the 13PM the battery is draining fast. Did not set up the phone as new, i transferred info from 13PM to the 14PM , anyone set up the phone as new and see if it makes a difference?

Also I did notice the 13PM battery went down slightly after the last 16 update, probably IOS 16 has to do anything with it

Yesterday was my first workday with the phone. Less than 100% usage is good I suppose. Decent amount of screen time. AOD on, 5G auto (pretty much every battery draining feature is on)

My usage yesterday is similar to yours but my 5G was only on two bars most of the day when I was at work, which probably drained the battery faster

Day 5 (full day)
Battery usage = 78%
Screen active = 6 hr 16 mins
Screen idle = 15 mins

AOD ON
Background refresh ON
5G for 8 hours approx at two bars only
Wifi the rest of the time.

I have 4 bar 5G on Vodafone at home :)

Don’t you use wifi when you’re at home?

You can turn off wifi calling under the mobile tab in settings.

Nice on having 4 bars at home. Better on battery life i guess!

Yep always at wifi when at home only reason is i mention it is i never saw my phone display wifi calling on it before.
Does this mean its actually using my internet for all phone calls through the phone like fully?

Yes it means it's using the wifi for phone calls.

Hmm perhaps thats why then my battery life is heaps better on the 14PM compared to my X.
I dont think i had it turned on my X and i know i never saw that showing wifi calling scrolling above on the left side of the phone.

Looks like on the 14PM it was enabled on its own maybe or maybe Vodafone activated now on my end and its just a coincidence??

Disabling Motion and Fitness under privacy settings and deleting the fitness app seems to have helped with battery life on my 14PM. I think it was using quite a bit of battery keeping track of my steps daily.

How does that persistent background activity not bother you?
My OCD is going wild just looking at it.

Can someone tell me if this is normal standby battery drain on a 14PM with AOD on.
This is on Wifi with 2-3 bars cellular. For me this locks pretty bad.
On Second day after Setup (no backup used) It only dropped around 1% per hour with AOD.
OVernight was 1% in two hours
Only added some apps and paired an Apple Watch and this drain is worse than my two year old 12PM With more or less the same setup
No apps listed with background activity.
First day(sleep mode ended 9:00)

Either people somehow use their phone for heavier things, or I am wildly overestimating this, but… I saw, overall, better numbers on MacRumors for the 6+ and the 6s+ back when they were new. Some people are getting 7-8 hours (extrapolated) with the majority of the use being Safari. I can get almost that on an iPhone 6s on iOS 10 with 64% health and full LTE (about 6-6.5 hours).

The plus models I mentioned routinely surpassed 12 hours with that use. I don’t know if everyone has every setting on at very high brightness, if usage patterns have changed in ways I am not seeing in settings, or 5G’s impact, or there’s a different reason, but like I said, I’m not impressed.

At a minimum, unless all settings are on, with that usage I’d expect 11 hours, as a bare minimum. The Pro Max is supposed to blow even my Xʀ out of the water. These numbers scrape past my 6s. Yeah, usage is probably heavier here (higher brightness, more settings, and 5G, I’m very conservative settings-wise), but like I said, these numbers are all below what I saw back on the plus models’ threads.
