Are you also getting the lag in the camera app or just the buzzing noise from the camera?
Static noise from camera is normal, my 13 pro had it.

I have contacted Apple and they have sent me a replacement and I am retiring this phone. It is not normal, software of not this has caused permanent damage to my iPhone camera as now it struggles to auto focus. This is a widespread issue and I hope is software. Otherwise I’m gonna have to return this damn thing

Check the video out it happened to him too. Anyone experiencing the clicking and rattling contact Apple for a replacement immediately. This causes mechanical damage to the OIS unit and therefore the camera looses some of its auto focus capability. Not good on apples behalf considering a software issue with third party apps is causing their hardware to fail.
While these are two separate issues (one being the camera vibrating and rattling and the other being the camera launching very slowly) there seems to be something fundamentally wrong with Apple's new line of Pro iPhones. This is very concerning
#shotoniphoneI have the same problem as well… initially I thought it’s software but the camera shakes rapidly distorting the image - see images.
You can also hear the camera make a buzzing noise, it’s definitely a faulty OIS sensor! Be careful… you may have the same problem as me.
Funnily enough this issue only happens when I enter the camera in WhatsApp… I’m still getting the 5 seconds lag on the Apple stock camera app though.
I’ve already called my network provider and they are arranging an exchange.
I have organised an exchange with Apple and they have sent me a replacement no questions asked and I have to sent my current 14 Pro in. The replacement will be a fully boxed retail unit too. Really and a horrendous launch for Apple. I had the rattle issue and also noticed the camera is slow too. Having trouble with the camera always switching to macro when I’m not even close enough for a macro shot. There’s an option to toggle off but you have to select it… every single… time. Starting to wish I waited as there always seems to be issues at launch and it’s not right.Does anyone plan on returning their iPhone because of the slow camera app issue? Or has anyone already returned their iPhone because of this problem?

I would honestly contact Apple support and get a replacement. The last thing you want is the camera module breaking 1 years and 2 months into ownership when Apple warrenty is up. Be best to exchange now while you’re in the return period. Otherwise if you think it works fine maybe wait for an update? I personally didn’t want to risk is as I have the camera rattle and the slow camera issue and also the concerning click you mentioned…While I don't have the rattle / shake on my 14 Pro - when using Instagram the camera is very slow and I hear a concerning loud click coming from the main sensor. Sounds as if the OIS module is hitting something hard inside the phone. Scary enough that I'm now worried something might be broken inside even though the main camera software still appears to work fine.
Hi. Please tell me how can I do that. Can I contact them by phone and they will just send me a replacement? Or what do I have to do?I have contacted Apple and they have sent me a replacement and I am retiring this phone. Sure, so I just Googled Apple support number and rang them. They will try and get you to troubleshoot but I just did it as they said and told them it still didn’t fix and I just politely said, look I’ve got a brand new phone which isn’t working as it should and as I’m in my return period I would like a replacement and they were more than happy to do so with it being so new. Good luckHi. Please tell me how can I do that. Can I contact them by phone and they will just send me a replacement? Or what do I have to do?
A slow camera could possibly be updated and fixed through software. A rattle that could have caused damage to the sensor or lens which in my case it has must be replaced. To be honest, don’t you think it’s just worth trying for a replacement, the amount of money you’ve spent and how new it is it’s not right for you to have any issues whatsoever. If you don’t get a replacement now you could have issues down the line and by then it will be much harder to get a replacement. If I were you get in touch with Apple support and explore your options. Do not send your phone in for repair as I don’t think it’s acceptable personally to get something so new ‘repaired’I am currently on the fence about asking for a replacement. I do not experience any form of rattling/vibration in any app. The only issue I am facing is that the stock camera app launch is incredibly slow for me.
This really has been the worst launch experience with any iPhone I have ever owned.
Yep, couldn’t agree more. This is why I never buy iPhones on launch, this yeah I made the mistake by doing so 🫠This really has been the worst launch experience with any iPhone I have ever owned.
I’m on chat with them and the Apple support guy told me “we have a very imaginative community, please don’t believe the reports” after I said this seems to be a widespread issue lmaoSure, so I just Googled Apple support number and rang them. This problem will be fix hopefully with updateDoes anyone plan on returning their iPhone because of the slow camera app issue? Or has anyone already returned their iPhone because of this problem?
Oh right, you’re good then. No worries glad to help. I wish I had tested the camera more before the issue happened, but the quality just does not seem good. Struggles to focus after I had that horrific rattle, it’s hard to explain. All I could explain it as, is like if you put your hand in front of the camera or any object, and then take it away, the camera has a hard time focusing on the object then the background if you get me? Definitely not right so I hope my replacement doesn’t take long. The tech said that it’s listed as 3-5 weeks but replacements are prioritised over orders apparently so I should get it soon I hope. Will have to go back to my 11 Pro which I was actually due to trade in but they’ve had to extend my trade in time frame otherwise I’d be without a phone. Not good from Apple this at all. Seem to loose faith more and more every year 😅Thanks for your advice! I have an Apple Care + plan with a monthly payment so if anything goes wrong two years from now, I will still be able to get a replacement. But you’re absolutely right about the fact that for the kind of money Apple is asking, this phone should be nothing but perfect and at this stage it’s anything but perfect
Well, as a matter of fact your device is not working as it should be. It’s nothing to do with whether you believe someone or not.I’m on chat with them and the Apple support guy told me “we have a very imaginative community, please don’t believe the reports” after I said this seems to be a widespread issue lmao
