Thinnest iPhone was 6. Every iPhone since has got thicker year by year. So it’s safe to say Ive was firmly on board with thicker products. Not sure where the ‘I’ve can only do skinny’ thing came from although it’s often repeated.I’ll take camera improvements (glass) over thinness! Ive has certainly left the building!
Same. I really don't like the purple and was hoping there would be a blue or green option.I’m going to buy the 14 Pro and rock it for a good solid 5 years. Looks like a sturdy fella to me. Not too keen on the color options though.
Edit: typo
If you actually work in media or are a photographer and really passionate, constantly wanting to take photos and shoot video, then all of this probably makes sense to some extent(except maybe not so much considering the extensive file transfer times you're still stuck with using USB 2.0 Lighning from your iPhone to your computer.Literally have no clue which one to go for this year, especially given the EU price increase. Was thinking the 14pro.
Seems like all you get this year is a camera bump that sounds impressive, but in reality who really takes pics like they demo in the marketing.
Almost feel like waiting another year and keeping my iPhone 11, which is still just fine.
I think I saw an image of something close to Dynamic Island around here.. could've been another site but I knew it was coming.Solid camera update, but I'm mostly impressed how the Dynamic Island works, and didn't leak! Incredible job by Apple's team on that one.
Well, it'll definitely require something faster than Lightning when transferring footage to your computer.Wondering if shooting in 4K ProRes will require 256GB again...
Me too, but this version looks a bit boring to me and the purple could turn lackluster very quickly. Not too keen on the gold eitherSame. I really don't like the purple and was hoping there would be a blue or green option.
Or something between silver and space black... you know, like SPACE GRAY
That's kind of a silly statement. Quality improvements can definitely be seen in simple point-and-shoot photos between iPhone generations. Granted, a lot of people do take photos of some dumb crap that don't necessarily warrant quality. There are a lot of people who really don't even seem to care whether they take a good/decent photo or not, but some of us non-professionals still like to be able to easily take some good photos. If you actually work in media or are a photographer and really passionate, constantly wanting to take photos and shoot video, then all of this probably makes sense to some extent(except maybe not so much considering the extensive file transfer times you're still stuck with using USB 2.0 Lighning from your iPhone to your computer..
But for what I see 99% of all people do with these phones it's complete overkill. Total waste that's just going to be replaced by a marginally better camera setup 1-2 years from now.
But of course hardly anyone can resist this sort of hypothetical hyper-reality, where everyone is either doing outdoor sports or shooting Vogue covers 24 hours a day, in full make-up wearing haute couture. In that World you'd obviously need an iPhone 14 Pro.
Get a pen and paper. Draw a line on that paper. That line will be about as wide as 14 is thicker than 13.Need to get a little Jonny Ive back..these are getting too big and too thick.
I do. And I know plenty of others in my industry who do as well. But I think my 12 Pro is fine and I'm going to hold on for another year.Seems like all you get this year is a camera bump that sounds impressive, but in reality who really takes pics like they demo in the marketing.
what would lightning have to do with storage size?Well, it'll definitely require something faster than Lightning when transferring footage to your computer.
But no changes there this year, still the exact same USB 2.0 speeds as on 2012's iPhone 5??
Yup. People forget that the "Pro" moniker means something, or at least it should. For work I made the switch from DSLR to 11Pro two years ago. Its quality was good enough for my project specs, and the better follow-focus and overall convenience more than made up for other limitations. Looking forward to the 14 Pro upgrade. I'll just deal with the bump.I do. And I know plenty of others in my industry who do as well. But I think my 12 Pro is fine and I'm going to hold on for another year.
Add On wheelies for an additional $999.99In five years, we are gonna need a wheel chair to carry the iPhone around.
And thats the line they finally crossedGet a pen and paper. Draw a line on that paper. That line will be about as wide as 14 is thicker than 13.
