If it was just fanboyism then people here would like whatever Apple decided so that isn’t it.

I don’t like either one and I think they should’ve just stuck with a notch and made it smaller.

I hope these rumors are wrong like so many in recent years, the i seems like the best option until they can hide everything under the display. The giant pill thing just seems so Android 2018, like c’mon man!

Those indicators are already there. They are just to the right side of the notch. Do they bother you now?

While there is such a think as "fanboys" that like everything. There are also "anti-fanboys" that seem to complain about every change where everything is an example of Apple effing up and everything looks "fugly". We should be wary of falling into either trap.

Yes, they do, they are annoying pointless and ugly. Why bike green of all colors? And now they are going to waste valuable screen space on permanent ones that seem like they won’t be effected by screen brightness. So when it’s late at night you’ll be getting distracted by these annoying and bright bike green lights blinking on and off. Some sort of notification lights could be in that slot instead, or just be screen like it was supposed to be with the pill and dot “i” design.

I just hope all these rumors are wrong.

This is an Apple related site. It shouldn't be a surprise that the majority are fans of Apple. The weirder thing are the Apple haters that frequent the site. I guess their Samsung or whatever products are so inferior, they can't stop fawning over Apple and need to try and rationalize their bad purchase decision by crapping on everything Apple does.

I used to be an Apple fanboy, then I woke up one day and realized I’m a fanboy of tech, of futuristic products which require innovation and someone to constantly push the envelope. I’ve come to like all the phones on the market in one way or another for various reasons. I still like many things about the iPhone, I’m typing on one of the 5 I own now, and I use most of them daily still. But my main phone is a Samsung, yes, I admit, it has its flaws as well, but there’s just something cool about it that excites my inner tech geek. Throwing the kitchen sink at a device is kind of neat. At the rate things are going I feel like in ten years smart phones will have holographic technology and be able to photograph the rings of Saturn and Apple will be like “we reduced the Face ID cut out by 8% on the iPhone 24!”.

Can someone please help. My orange dot NEVER turns off. Never. It's always on. Accessibility UIServer is always active. My Dynamic Island does not work. It does nothing.
Something is not right, but I don’t know how to help you. I do suggest that you post a new thread about this in the iPhone section rather than tag onto a pre-launch thread about the dynamic island ne pill. You’ll get more relevant comments.
