Fwiw, since starting the 35/40% - 80% and stopping overnight charging the daily battery usage has dropped slightly.

It's just 2 month since I got my 14PM and the battery health is 98, it's terrible, really terrible.
Zero gaming, just taking story and some days a short video for Instagram, and of course using VPN all the day.
No Whatsapp use, no video call, nothing else.
Charging cycle is always 20 until 80 Everytime.
Why it should degrade to 98 just after 2 month?
Please someone tell me its not true 😪😪😪

There is nothing terrible about 98% after two months.

Got the pro max on nov 25 2022 it’s still on like 102% battery health after 94 cycles. Best phone ever

Edit: I don’t have that much of a “charging habit”. I just charge it every night and before going out (with the latter stemming from my battery anxiety after owning a 12 pro max that went down to 86% health after two years)

Each battery is different. A battery is an ever changing chemical reaction.
ok, but the question is "why each battery should be different"
I mean, it's a company and all the batteries of that company absolutely should go under the same rules when producing.

You’re looking at it the wrong way. Batteries are dumb chemicals monitored by a “smart” chip. Of course there will be some degree of manufacturing variation to the batteries chemistry wise

I think it's just a lottery when it comes to batteries. I had a 12 pro and the battery fell to 97% after a year and a half, but my current iPhone 14 pro purchased on release day has fallen from 100% to 99.8 three days ago to 97.1 today according to coconut battery 🤔. My sister has the 14 pro purchased in October and hers is still at 100%. She's a power user who can't seem to put her phone down and I hardly use my phone at all. 🤷‍♂️
