yes I know, but if they had the foresight WiFi 7 should have been called WiFi 8 and WiFi 6E should have been called WiFi 7.

Otherwise WiFi 6E should be WiFi 6.1 or 6.5. Or maybe we should go back to WiFi 6 a/c or WiFi a/b/g/n, which is exactly what the numbering system was introduced to avoid.
Yea why can't they just do numbers or letters? At least it's better than all the USB weirdness

They are upgrading it to Dynamic Archipelago
for various definitions of "upgrading."

The dynamic shiteland intrudes further into the screen than the bloomin' notch did!!
It's like apple replaced their top engineers with clowns and decided to have a party with all their extra cash.

This person gets it. Wait for Wi-Fi 7 next year. It's going to blow Wi-Fi 6E right out of the water.

Think about it. You walk into an electronics store and see Wi-Fi 6E routers sittin' there, then there's Wi-Fi 7 routers right beside them. Which one are you gonna pick, man? Wi-Fi 7. Bingo, man! Bingo!

7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 Dwarves. 7, man. That's the number.

"7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch." You know that old children's tale from the sea.
Okay, so when I get my next phone after the 15...the iPhone 16, next year it will have WiFi 7. Or maybe when I get my iPhone 17 the following year it will have WiFi 7 🤣

It would be nice if Apple releases an AirPort to offer the Wi-Fi 6E with the new iPhone 15 lineup.

Someone put together a concept for a new AirPort router that is very compelling.
