You apparently don't understand how EU works. You don't understand it's fundamentals.

EU has its own court, they don't bring it to some other court lol. EU makes it's own rules, if Apple does not comply, bye bye EU market and its money. Different charging speeds is simply not going to happen. Keep dreaming American citizen.
You don't seem to know how it works either. They don't ban the most popular company in the world over something idiotic that they don't understand to being with, without losing every single seat they hold.

Seems like you are mistaking US system with the European one.

No worries, common mistake among Americans.

Slower charging means longer battery life, it's no travesty, just a fact!
You can always get a fast charging Android where the battery may last a year or a year and a half 😊

OnePlus 9 Pro
2 years old
Battery health 96%
65W wired, 50W wireless.
All have ever used.

OnePlus 10 Pro
1 year old
Battery health 99%
65W wired, 50W wireless.
All have ever used.

Hmmm...... better than my 13 ProMax.

It's the heat that kills it. Design for it and you can minimize the impact.
I'd say your time frame guesstimate is a bit off.

If I own a smart phone, it's for a year tops. So yes, that is exactly what I do. I buy Android foldables and I have an iPhone 14 PM and a Pixel 7 for back up. 😁
