If they use capacitive sensors, then yes, cases and gloves are an issue. But I’ll guess Apple will use strain gauges to detect actual pressure, and neither of these will be a problem.

It's funny how I stumbled upon this article as I was looking up how to restart a frozen iPhone. This made me ask about how are we going to force restart a frozen iPhone 15 pro?
 
Htc had something like this all the way back in 2017...

It never worked consistently good.
Now I'm sure apples version will be better than HTC. But really what's the point .. ?

I'm sure it boils down to cheaper to manufacture , and it'll be marketed as a big improvement so it'll be a up charge.

For apple it'll be a win win.

Why do you think we had esim only forced on us ? Cheaper to manufacture.

Marketed as some kinda upgrade or more secure or some BS.
 
How do I suppose to increase volume when it's in my pocket and wearing glove while riding bike in winter now. No for haptic, yes for mech.
