The titanium case sounds great. Also excited for the periscope lens. I wonder if RAM is being bumped up to 8GB to support 8k recording?

Not sold on the Taptic buttons. Hopefully this doesn’t mess with phone cases too much and that Apple leaves the silent switch alone.

Those are some big upgrades, but that's no dynamic island. That was ground breaking revolutionary stuff. Apple will hang their hat on AR/VR now.

yesss please! i am so sick of the glossy fingerprint-magnet finish of the stainless steel frames. premium-looking satin-finished lightweight titanium all the way! i am so glad i skipped the iphone 14 pro.

Durability and hardness are different things. According to mohs scale of hardness (basically measures scratch resistance), titanium falls between aluminum and steel
Titanium has exactly two advantages over steel:
1. It has a higher strength/weight ratio. It's not stiffer, harder or stronger than steel. It's an 'aerospace material' because strength /weight ratio is a big deal when building a plane. (https://www.thomasnet.com/articles/...eel-vs-titanium-strength-properties-and-uses/) The steel component on your phone is one of the heavier parts, but one part being 40% lighter won't a huge difference on the complete assembly.
2. The cool-ass name. Great for marketing.

Costing more isn't great and the dull gray color is liked by some, I guess.

I need a titanium frame in my phone in order to protect my phone case… oohhh, sorry, other way around or some other nonsense.
Really, way would you need a titanium “frame” in a phone???, does your phones bend a lot?. Titanium is very prone to ugly scratches. How about a sapphire screen?, that would be more useful perhaps. But a the frame… just wasting metal…
