Is IPhone 15 will be good or not?

And with the iPhone 15 getting USB-C at last, that's gonna push a lot of people to get one.
Honestly, this seems a little sad to me. People upgrading just because it has USB-C? Sure, if they want/need the faster transfer speeds that come with it (assuming Apple doesn't cripple it), that's great. But to upgrade solely just for the different charging port seems a bit wasteful, imo.

I'm glad the iPhone is finally getting USB-C (all my other devices are USB-C), but it's not a compelling feature I must have right away. The cables I already have will still work with my current phone. I will wait to see what other features it has first to see if it's worth upgrading.

I doubt most (non-techy) people will even know or care about USB-C. I told my parents about the change and they're actually a little upset with it, as it means buying a whole new set of cables and charging bricks (two for their charging station, two for each of their vehicles, two for their camper, etc). It'll probably be their first major USB-C device whenever they do upgrade again in a few years.

There's more to buying a new iPhone for the USB-C port besides faster transfer speeds. USB-C means new accessories that can be plugged into the phone since you're not restricted to MFi accessories anymore. You could plug in an SD card reader into the iPhone to move files to and from that. You can plug in USB-C flashdrives to an iPhone without the need of a dongle anymore. You could plug in to USB-C universal phone docks, the same ones Android uses. Hell, a lot of Android guys would be able to move to iPhone now since all their Android accessories would be able to work on iPhone immediately, not having to buy the iPhone version of that accessory. There's also better audio quality for wired headphones since it means the audio is no longer being converted to digital from the lightning connector, which means lossless hifi through an iPhone at last. Alternatively said headphones can now take advantage of a USB-c to 3.5mm aux connector, which will be especially handy since Apple STILL refuses to #BringBackTheHeadphoneJack

Moving to USB-C opens up so much for the iPhone, which is why so many cried for it to move to USB-C already, a move that should've happened 4 years ago.

Yeah I agree. I think USB-C only matters if you actually transfer files with a cable from your phone to your computer for example as it notably does have a faster transfer speed than Lightning.
But assuming that wireless methods do exist, it’s really not a big change and as you already mentioned, most people who aren’t tech nerds probably don’t even care.

Though it’d probably be nice for some other cases. I have a wired pair of USB-C Samsung earphones that I really like the sound quality of. They even work with my MacBook, but clearly they won’t work with my iPhone. If only iPhone had a USB-C port, I’d be able to use them with my iPhone as well. But now I gotta buy separate Lightning earphones or wireless earbuds just for the iPhone.

So yeah I think it’d be nice in this other case of having only USB-C accessories.

Yep that’s exactly my case. I moved from a Samsung phone to iPhone recently and I really like the sound quality of my USB-C Samsung earphones that sadly won’t work with my new iPhone. And I do prefer wired earphones over wireless ones. Wireless ones are not cheap, and the cheap ones don’t have a good sound quality.

It will be more of the same. If you found the 14 good and don't get bored easily, the 15 will be just like that, maybe a little more expensive and/or even bigger.

And how was the 14 different from the 13?

Outside of SOS I didn’t see anything much different, also I preceded the notch to a hole in the screen

To answer your question, OP, no, the new iPhone will not be good. Good is doing something kind for your neighbor. The iPhone is just an electronic gadget that's only as good as its user.

It will be an iPhone and will work and behave like all recent iPhones, except be slightly faster and get one more year’s worth of support.
