Apple is calling this button the "Capture Button" internally, but it continues to be unclear what exactly it will be used for.
Yeah, that's definitely super vague right there. What could a "capture button" on a smartphone do? Maybe if you push it, it captures fireflies? Maybe ghosts? Fugitives? It's not like there's anything people already do with their phones that involves "capturing" anything. Certainly nothing where there's a long history of other devices that can capture the same thing, having two-stage buttons, which you could probably simulate with a haptic..

Not an upgrade year for me, so unless something REALLY significant comes with the iPhone 16 I'll be sticking with the 15PM for at least 2-3 years.

1 - I was just responding to someone who said "where have all the Apple fans gone?"
2 - To answer your genuine curiosity with your loaded and bait worthy question, I answer because I like to call out stupid comments, disguised as knowledge, based on biased opinion, and not facts.

I am not sure where you get this ridiculous notion that was offended. Please enlighten how, without resorting to pointless opinions not based on facts. Where did I give a single example where I was personally offended?

“I usually defend Apple, and I’m still here”

The fact you feel the need to defend a company that:
A) Doesnt know or care who you are
B) Is a company which therefore has no feelings that are needed to be defended from “haters” or trolls shows that you have a personal attachment to a corporate entity.

Why do you feel the need to defend a company like a close family member?

“Like it’s their life mission to put down Apple. It’s rather pathetic. I say "get a life"”

Why does it bother you so much if someone has something negative to say about Apple? Apple doesn’t care. It can’t care because it’s a corporate entity that only cares about profits so why does it bother you?

Where is the substance in yoir argument, other than trying to put me down? No substance at all. I couldn’t care less what you say if you can’t add anything of value.

Apple Defenders have been comparatively silent on here for several days. I am surprised. Is it getting to be too much even for them? Nah.
Based on my years of visiting this site it always seems like the people calling out supposed Apple defenders are the most vocal.

“Still a screen with round corners like the CRT monitors and of course the notch.”

may be the notch will be gone by iPhone 25

Maybe by the iPhone 25 we’ll have model year naming… so like… 2 years away. Definitely something Samsung does right here, is what I’m saying.

Round corners is in Apples DNA. They have actively said that it makes the device feel friendlier. The rounded edges makes it feel more natural. Nothing in nature has sharp edges. This is a deliberate design consideration. Same with their computers screens too.
Have you ever seen….rocks?!
