Only problem with the Owl is they didn’t omit the texture on the bottom where your pinky rests so it’s not comfy to hold for long periods imo… I like how they make the bottom smooth on the Sheath

Returned. $50+ is crazy for that case. When I can spend $18 for the Owl & the only difference is the buttons

Yes, after looking closer at them, the Sheath buttons are a little taller than the Paragon buttons.

Apparently, Peak Design just released the GNAR Case for iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max. It appears to have a button for the camera control. I think the only negative is that there isn't much to protect the screen. It looks to be very grippy though.

Honestly, the only main difference are the buttons. And while I certainly agree that the buttons on the Caudabe are superior by a lot., for 70% less the cost I’m going with the owl every time

Have been on the fence for ages about getting one to try but on UK Amazon, can only get the stone or lilac ones for next day (for ease of returns), I think I'd prefer the almost black one but don't want to wait for it to arrive from the US in case I want to return.
Found the Sheath a little too chunky but I might just order the Stone Owl to try otherwise I'll always be curious haha

What is it with screen protection this year? The Pitaka Pro, Caudabe Paragon, and now this new case from Peak Design all have virtually no screen protection. So after talking to USPS, they said that Caudabe hasn’t actually dropped off my package yet lmao. Good times, wishing I had requested a refund at this point and will be once it arrives if I have to wait until then to do it.

I haven't really been active on here since the 13 Pro Max. I sold the 13 Pro Max, and I have been using a 13 Mini since 2022. I finally decided to upgrade. My wife told me that she was planning on getting me a 15 Pro, so I spent my free time this past weekend looking through the 15 Pro/Pro Max case thread. Yesterday, I got up to page 55 (of 653) when she surprised me with the 16 Pro last night. Now I'm starting this thread, but I'm going backwards from the last page.
As of right now, I'm going to order the BENKS Prestige ArmorPro Case with the Spigen GlasTR EZ FIT. I was considering a Caudabe Sheath, but the BENKS case sounds better for my needs.
(By the way, it's good to see some familiar names are still active.)

Caudabe have answered my email after a week and have offered to break up my order and send the items that are available now (black sheath, moonstone paragon and ember buttons). I really appreciated this gesture as it means them paying for the postage twice.
However, I was among the first to order the midnight paragon (4th May) and I see others who ordered it after me getting theirs, but for me it’s not available yet. Weird way of sorting orders. So I’m still waiting for the gray sheath and midnight paragon to also get a shipping notice.
@Hooterville thanks for the comparison of the buttons. The eucalyptus might also look good with the black buttons.

Great choice as regards the case, but I’d advise against the Spigen glass. You should do some reading in the screen protector thread. There are much better options, albeit more expensive, such as the Torras, Belkin ultraglass (difficult to install), the 3D ones from AliExpress…

It’s growing on me but I’ve never used the camera button ever. Don’t get the need for it. I like how the edges are tapered so there is less case overhang in the middle. Makes for a better finger experience. We’ll see if I still feel that way after I drop it.
I will say that I plan on exchanging my Ruby Red for Moonstone. The red with the back sheen looks cheap to me.
I always default back to the Arc Pulse or apple ultramarine silicon. We’ll see how long I keep it on.

Had a Moonstone cut out for a while and loved it but grew bored of the colour quickly.
Think they’re a great case, whether they’re worth the money they charge for them is open for discussion but I think most cases in the view of the consumer are overpriced nowadays
