The rear breaks way too easily, so who cares what color they are? At a minimum they need all titanium except for a small disc on the rear where MagSafe is (perhaps some kind of strong ceramic? idk), as well as the normal antenna bands. Have a small raised bezel around the display, and the portion that surrounds the cameras should also be titanium with a small lip around the lenses. This would probably also make the phone lighter, as I think the glass they use is thicker and heavier than thinner titanium would be. This would also allow for more battery.

I have never used a case for my iPhones, had the original, the 3GS, the 4S, the 5S, the 11, and now the 13 Pro.
Never used a case, no issues.
(Hope I’m not tempting fate here lol)
Same. No case since the 3G. And colors are fun! It’s why I wasn’t really sad to go back to my 14 Pro (carrier botched my 15 Pro upgrade and there are some issues with Bluetooth Apple’s still ironing out anyways). Purple for the win!

Only times my phone has broken (4, 5S) are when other people have dropped them (or tossed them into the pool as was the case of the 5S).

Wish they’d do a dark red iPhone though. I’d be the 1st person in line…

Probably due to “environmental reasons”. That seems to be the reason for every decision they make these days. I know the bolder colours can be less environmentally friendly, so look forward to muted whites and multiple shades of grey going forward.

I long for the day we can have bright vibrant colours in a premium plastic. Like the old Nokias. Far more durable. None of this glass back heavy rubbish the current ones are made of.

Great paint colours, it’s F1 cars with new livery schemes, apart from looking nice it does nothing for the performance or features of the device.

Give me USB-C fast charging, under display finger print reader Etc etc I might then trade in my 11 Pro Max….

What does it matter the color of the phone itself? Who uses the phone without a case? I think I ordered a (what Apple has marketing name for) black phone, but I’d have to take the case off to be sure.
I use a clear case, and sometimes I don't use a case at all. I understand the risks, but it's not that hard to be a little extra careful with your phone.

Have a blue 15PM right now and would be disappointed if there was no blue color for the 16 Pros.

The “desert” looks cool though. I’m sure the 16 series will be great phones and I’ll be tempted to get one but I love my 15 Pro Max and would have no qualms holding on to it for another year.

The Natural Titanium is nice, but this new Desert Titanium shade is really making me feel some kind of way. 😩

There's a material that would be absolutely perfect for the back: PLASTIC.

The glass they use isn't recyclable anyway, and some plastics are much more easily recycled than glass. They could even make it from recycled plastic, and offer a natural color option where every back is unique because of random color plastics in the mix.

Glass is a stupid material for the back of a phone. Sure, it's harder to scratch, but I've seen so many shattered backs because the fools insist on using glass.

Infinite shades of medium grey, never anything close to black. Thanks Apple, great design.

More tutti-fruitti, phoney-baloney, plastic banana, good time, rock-n-roll “leaks” orchestrated by Apple PR. Apple has had the colors locked-in for a while now.
