Wow this thread is surreal 😅
An answer was provided since the beginning, but he refused.
The left page was there since a while (I don’t remember which iOS version exactly), but was revisited and improved over the time.
The Left page use to be called the SEARCH PAGE. You could add widgets to it as well. BUT BUT you could also go into settings and TURN IT OFF and you could no longer swipe left. All I asked was is there a way to TURN IT OFF?
Some say that it can be deleted but it can and everyone wants to argue about it being there it's NOT my intent to create an argument but to find an answer which nobody has provided.
Even Apple Support can't tell me if it can be disabled and they also said it could be deleted but when they tried they failed to delete it. That's why I asked if anyone has found a way or if it can even be done.
If you have no input on the subject then don't stop and TROLL the thread just because you got butthurt by reading the thread. Move on

The left page has never been called „search page“ and it could never been turned off!

I have an iPhone 15 PM running iOS 18, an iPhone 12 running iOS 17 and an iPhone X running iOS 15 and on none of these devices, the „far left page“ - the widget page - can be turned off!

Really? What's this? Search settings in iOS 17 as it can be disabled. It can be turned off. The new Widget Page also has a search function just swipe down in the middle of the page and Search will appear from the bottom.

Can you show us how can you turn it off ?
Trying to find the video I made. I sent it to Apple Support for them to see what I was talking about and I hope I didn't delete in because my sons updated to 18 last week. Hopefully I can get the Senior Advisor I spoke with to send me the video if I can't find it.
It's there I just can't explain how to get to it without having an iPhone with iOS 17 or older because I disabled in iOS 15 and 16 as well

This is similar to the screen recording I made.
As you can see in the screenshot from my phone that option is no longer there where you could Turn Off Swipe Left

The swipe left in voice control didn’t disable the left page. It just disabled the swipe left for back gesture 🤨
What I used and it made the page go away ot stopped me from swiping left. I do know for a fact the Widget Page can't be deleted like Apple said it could be and now it can't be Disabled as that option was removed as well. I guess I'm screwed.
Now go look at the new layout of Mail and how certain settings turn off the Badge Icon for new messages 🤣 and the little Buildings to the left of the emails. Apparently APPLE has decided we're too dumb to categorize our own emails
