So basically, they will meet the same problem as how Intel looks like with Indian factories

Its not racist to point out that a country isn't the US's ally (India). Is it racist to call out Russia as well?
You can even do a terrorist excursion into Russia and maybe your "ally" can pat you on a back for doing so while maintaining their distance from it.

There is a reason why you'll never escape the Orwellian "doublespeak": Ally is an enemy, an enemy is an ally.

This is a good thing. China locked down so many times over nothing….and it ruined production so apple finally got a clue that it’s time to move on…

Yes and thankfully capitalism works….unlike other forms where people are trying to escape on a daily basis…..

Free market capitalism is just as bad as the "other forms" (by which you're instantly think of the most extreme example because you're American) - meanwhile the best run and happiest countries in the world (the Scandinavian countries) have the best balance of progressive policies.

China taking Taiwan would put a whole lot of US and Japanese companies on the frying pan, so that chances of that happening are slim. Intel would probably like it though since they get soak up all the TMSC jobs away from TMSC. :D
Pretty sure most of ASML's EUV machines are in Taiwan. Plant owners are expected to destroy them if there's military action by the Chinese, but it's going to be a huge hit for worldwide production if we lose those. That *one* next-generation machine Intel just acquired is still in testing for a while.

Of course on the bright side, maybe this would force better designs and a focus on fixing miffed software since no new hardware could be had for a while.

India has a good reputation for skilled service technicians and clean work.
I think we have quite a different interactions. Over here India has a cheap reputation, poor service center support, and men chasing and assaulting women on buses. Not to mention India as a russian a$$ licking state.
