Glad you mentioned the Walmart Onn Corning glass screen protector. I broke mine recently due to a drop, purchased 4 units from Walmart and none of them lined up correctly! Perhaps a bad batch but ultimately gave up on them now. Currently using a Smart Devil regular tempered glass from Amazon USA. Not great but acceptable. So if you know of a decent brand let me know. I may just skip and wait on the iPhone 17 pro max. That’s if I decide to upgrade. If not I’d definitely be interested in a protector for the 16 PM once this one gives up the ghost or in my case gets dropped.

Phew so it isn’t just me!!

Mine started lifting up in a corner and getting deep scratches and I went through a couple trying to replace it

They always had dust on the side too absolutely ridiculous something changed about them from last year

I’m almost tempted to give up on screen protectors and just get over my obsessiveness of not using one / getting scratches and hoping iPhone is durable enough for accidents .. but it makes me a little frightened too

The generic screen protectors are too bad of quality and rough edges

I should’ve just left it with the lifted corner but I think the adhesive is problematic too installing as in immediately and over time

So close to perfect barring these grating deal breaking issues

having to go into a Walmart sucks too

Surprised Corning isn’t partnered with more or better manufacturers that’s the real good part about those everything else stinks to be honest

And only 1? And the top end screen protectors are so expensive I’d be way too nervous trying to install those

Yes. Something has changed about them recently for sure. I feel the same way, there’s no way I’m sending out $50 for one screen protector and the going thru all the rigmorale of exchanging it.

@Fred Zed and others - have you all thought to venture into Baseus/Joyroom Corning glass options or anything else interesting on Aliexpress?

I dunno if Corning itself is a 'catch all' for quality.. but I think that was the part I liked most about onn. I'm prolly gonna get a cheapie Ailun 3pc to hold me over before I figure it out, if I do at all.. or if I just give up and go no screen protector / YOLO. Probably going to run lean-ish expense wise since I might as well have tossed a $20 out the window of a moving vehicle trying out some ONN protectors and ending up back to square one.

I have considered however the ones you mentioned from Ali express are single pack. Not worth it incase application goes wrong.

Just finished installing the new torras 3d. Anti reflective coating is nice. Install came out perfect. Will give my thoughts after a few days! If anyone has a camera view finder screenshot I’ll see if it covers up the little corner brackets. They are gone on iOS 26 so can’t check

How “case-friendly” is it?

Thanks! Yep! Fellas this screen protector is the one. 99.9% of the screen is visible. There’s ever so slightly slight covers on one of the L brackets but you can still see all brackets. It honestly could probably be my install too but as someone who’s tried 15 different screen protectors I’d say this is the one to get. Especially being anti reflective too. I’d say it’s like an improved flolab 3d one time pro or whatever they call it (which I have tried 3 different installs with and all failed with lifting or bubbles.) this one went on perfect first time and no lifting. Using it with an andar case when now but I’ll try popping into my phonerebel when I get home. And throw a picture of the camera viewfinder open when I get back to my iPad.

Awesome! Sounds great. Just ordered it.
Looking forward to the pics with the Phone Rebel and the viewfinder!

Thanks!

I’ve had a horrible experience with Flolabs 3D. I gave up on them after two protectors lifting. And having to pay for warranty replacements is ridiculous.

I’ll give this one a try

Okay sorry fellas I left my ipad at work this weekend. Anyways heres some pics, looking straight at the phone you can see all the L brackets, once you move towards more extreme Angeles you wont be looking at your phone from they do get covered which will be the case with any black border screen protector.

I also just threw it into a Phonerebel this morning, when i put it on it did cause the top left corner to slightly lift but i was able to push it back down with no more lift. I’ll keep the case on today to see if it lifts again. Could have just been the tight fit from putting it on and pushing it onto that corner.

It’s Nothing special. Just used up two of the three to install it as the protector would install to far low by about a millimeter on each attempt probably defective template box.
Worst part is, it doesn’t feel as smooth as silk like the Walmart Onn Corning screen protector. So if you’re in a pickle for $19 for 3 then get this smartdevil 3 pack with 2.5D corners which don’t catch your fingers if you’re caseless.. Else it’s a 7/10 all day long.
I just installed a Smartdevil 3D Hot Bend on my iPhone 16 Pro after my Flolab kept breaking with the slightest drop. It seems rather reflective to me and indeed the surface isn't quite smooth. Did you experience the same or is my mind playing tricks?

Thanks for the pics! Should be having mine delivered today. Excited to try it out.
How is it holding up against prints and smudges for you after a few days?

Way better than flolab. No smudges still. And surprisingly no scratches either. I’m around flying metal all day too, all my other regular screen protectors would definitely have scratches here and there by now. I think you’ll like it.

Good to know. If I have another problem installing my second replacement FloLab, I’ll switch to this. It’s taken me almost 3 weeks to get a replacement with them.

Yeah that’s why i stopped with flolab. I tried 3 times to get a good install and nothing. And those replacements took way too long. Now that it’s on Amazon tho I’d rather do that route if I did flolab again since returns are quick on Amazon

Just ordered the new Torras. It’s on sale in the US so only paid $34. Still a lot but excited about the AR coating!
