The iPhone Ultra will feature an additional “international orange” button that does… basically nothing

I'm pretty happy with the 15 pro max rumors! Seems like a pretty solid update to me personally so I wouldn't consider it being a less impressive update

It should be the premium device targeted at premium customers like myself. I honestly wouldn’t mind paying $3000 for a Ceramic iPhone. Niche market? Yes, but there are people out there that are willing to pay that price with no problem.
I don't think Apple will take this risk again. It reminds me of the Apple Watch 18-karat Gold Edition. In the end it didn't sell so well and Apple discontinued it.

Well, we do have plenty of options available but none of them are really that appealing or to be used daily. Well yeah, your right. It sucks! Apple should have called it, the Rugged ACTION button.

14 pro seems more and more like a solid buy. 👍
It is indeed a good iPhone! Personally I would have bought the iPhone 14 Pro if it had USB-C because I really want to carry just one cable with me for all my devices. I might buy this year's iPhone 15 Pro if the upgrades are worth it coming from my iPhone 13 Pro.

A few years ago, Apple registered a patent for a camera system with just one large lens. It was posted here I think. That would be a noticeable redesign. We’ve had the same three lens look (with LiDAR) for a while now.

iPhone Ultra should be 'rugged', an iPhone for the Watch Ultra user, and light -- use titanium & carbon fibre & be-ith totally wireless. Excellent reception when other phones are searching for a signal. It would play lossless with the new upcoming AirPods Max.

* 2024?

  • Periscope lens - With the ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max, Apple plans to introduce a periscope telephoto lens that supports 5x or 6x optical zoom. Apple sometimes expands technology used in a flagship ‌iPhone‌ to additional models the next year, but Apple analyst Ming-Cho Kuo suggests that the periscope technology will remain limited to the ‌iPhone 16‌ Pro Max in 2023.

The reason why there are a lot of rumors floating around about the iPhone 16 line up now is because Apple is pretty much done finalizing the iPhone 15. The iPhone Product development team is currently working on the 2024 iPhone 16 lineup now. By this time, next year, we will be hearing about iPhone 17. This is normal.

Agreed, it seems like EVERY year we hear all sorts of great rumors about the soon to be released iPhone, and this time of year all of a sudden everything is delayed until “next year”.

I have to remember how little anyone actually knows, and how most of the rumors every year turn out to not be true at all. Sometimes we expect great changes and are disappointed, sometimes we don’t expect much and get surprised by Apple. I will have a great big belly laugh this September if Apple comes out with everything mentioned in the article, as well as being quite satisfied. If these rumors are true, I may not be upgrading as I don’t see the point if it’s just gonna be usbC and a slight increase of the telephoto lens.

We need an iPhone ultra and we want it now (September), make it Titanium, throw in the kitchen sink, and I will camp out for it.

They need to get ppl to upgrade so they will do whatever each iteration - throw fancy orange buttons, lens, thin bezels, new Face ID etc etc but if it ain’t broke for most ppl why upgrade for a premium? My iPhone 12 Pro is still good so maybe 2025 is the year of radical changes but then again rumours are just rumours. I still have the iPhone 3GS in a box and the only change that is needed is the iOS Ux design

Great. Another year of downgrades (for the sake of “change”) and minor upgrades. 2017 was the last good update.
