"More RAM uses more power. Better to have less RAM."

The first part is true. It will affect standby time, most notable on iPads which are infrequently used. If it's better to have less RAM depends on how much you value standby time versus performance.

"Nobody needs a power adapter or EarPods included in the box. They don't need to pass on the savings."

They don't need it, they can just use money to get what they want.
If buying a power adapter or EarPods is a financial hardship, they shouldn't buy the iPhone in the first place.

No one should buy a new Apple product, unless they have 1-2 months of expenses as a buffer on a savings account or similar.

I actually think you have it backwards. Who would buy the iPhone 16 over this? Is MagSafe, an extra camera, and one more GPU Core worth $200 more? I would think for a lot of users the answer is no.
MagSafe has infinite value; it's either phone has magnets or I'm not interested in it.

I absolutely hate the fact that both Google and Samsung still release flagships with no magnet ring. No, I don’t want to buy a case (if it's not made by Apple, hehe).

I use MagSafe Duo, MagSafe Battery Pack, laptop camera mount and a tripod mount like all the time. I used to have simple wired MagSafe Charger before upgrading to Duo and it also absolutely slaps, too; such a fascinating experience. Makes your life that bit more convenient.

It's the main reason to upgrade to an iPhone 12 or newer, and probably Apple's best invention of the decade.

This is too conspiratorial. It’s not just Apple that say AI needs more RAM. In fact, 8gb is still very conservative/constrained. Apple is actually late to the AI game and only got on board after market pressure forced them to. Pixels for example started AI as a selling point years ago now. While I agree AI has yet to deliver much of anything worthwhile for me, I can’t fault Apple for trying to stay current. Of all the things to blame them for I think this really isn’t it. BTW, having more RAM does just make the phone perform better too, so even if you don’t get use of AI your phone will just run better as a side effect, which is nice.
It’s just that for what Apple Intelligence does, it doesn’t need more RAM. It's crap. AI in general is just glorified pattern-recognition software, and there are only so many ways to dress it up as ‘the next big thing", you don't need more RAM for that.

Right if that’s the case then why would Apple put 8gb of ram in their latest iPhones if they didn’t have to. And then why do iPhones with less RAM miss out on certain iOS 18 features that aren’t Apple intelligence

Oh I don't know.... the owners, aka shareholders, of the company want to see people adopting new hardware at a consistent pace, so why not just advertise that you need newer phones with upgraded RAMs and chips for the latest software "magic", which is literally glorified pattern-recognition software being dressed up as the next big thing.

I've worked in the software industry for so long, these games and tricks to make people upgrade and buy what they don't really need is pretty rampant. It makes shareholders happy though.

Right but it’s Apple we are talking about here
If there latest iPhones could get away with less ram they would do it & still charge the same price.
