This is pointless. It still takes up the same amount of space in your pocket and with a case on it, the thinness is negligible. If they want a smaller phone, a folding flip phone is the way to go. I'd definitely buy an iPhone that folds in half so it takes up less space in my pocket - but their first flip phone is apparently one that folds out to double width size like an iPad - which I just don't get the point of. I want a big screen phone that folds small - not a big screen phone that's thinner.

It's not pointless in the weight department. I hated the weight on my 13 Pro, and still do with my 16 Pro. Ready for something lighter!

That said, I'm not upgrading for a few years.

Very much looking forward to the iPhone 17 Air. It'll likely be perfect for me. And no doubt many others.

Pointless for you. I have a case on my iPhone 15 Pro that adds very little to the thickness of the phone - I will get similar for my iPhone Air and be very happy. If they can make a folding phone in a couple of years that is as thick as my iPhone 15, has a small screen on the front for notifications it will be my ultimate phone. Isn't awesome that we all like and get different things?

Isn't it awesome that we can have different opinions without someone being pretentious about it . . . or maybe not in your case. :)
