Back in the late ‘90’s or maybe it was the early aughts, I owned what was then the thinnest cell phone, a Sanyo, that I loved because it was so thin and light. It’s crazy to look at the specs from back then - ~3 hours of talk time, tiny screen. If this new 17 Air offers a screen of similar quality to the Pro’s, and good battery life, I may switch from my 15 Pro Max. The one thing I really love about the 15PM is the titanium frame, but I can probably let that go given I also LOVE my M4 iPad Pro 13”, for its thin and light form. I don’t need the 3 cameras of the Pro, especially as AI enhanced photography improves. I’d even give up MagSafe on the back if Apple switched to a pinned MagSafe to replace the USB C port on the bottom, just keeping the magnets on the back for all the holders I have.

Then to improve the experience so then need to buy AirPods for an issue that Apple created by designing a mobile like that

Yes not everyone listenings to music & other media with headphones on
You should expect decent sound quality from your mobile

I'd be totally ok with no SIM slot and Magsafe only charging. But ultrawide is a must for me and good sound is also important.

I could live without the better camera but the lack of decent speaker(s) is a pretty big deal. I loath the days of not being able to actually hear speakerphone calls or music while working outside from the phone.
