iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Prices Estimated Ahead of Apple Event Next Week

Refresh my memory - will the 16 Pro be unavailable immediately upon announcement of the 17 line? I can’t remember at what point in the new release process that it will disappear from Apple’s website.

I think they'll drop the pro right away but leave the 16. But places like Costco and other retailers will likely have them. I'm just not sure How I feel about going back to Aluminum

That's brutal. Even my banking app still supports iOS 15

The worst one is the watch. I mainly bought the watch to use AllTrails maps on it when mountain biking. But the current AllTrails watch App requires watchOS 10 (but the main App still supports iOS 16). But updating the watch to watchOS 10 requires iOS 17, which the X won't do. I'm also down to 67% of battery life on the X and originally I did think of just doing a battery replacement to save money, but the creeping loss of functionality is eating at me.

Remember, there are a lot of reports that only the 17 Pro Max will get better zoom. The 17 Pro may get left behind with old camera tech. In which case it’s a mild spec bump and a new color. Yay.

Yes I already know that… Tho since the iPhone 17 Pro looks like a minor update to me… (Only the zoom, better performances and changed design (a bit)) I don’t really see the point to increase the price unless the base model gets 256gb as base storage like the Pro Max… Tho you will be forcing everyone to pay more for the 256gb…

Personally I think both 17 Pro and Pro Max will get the better zoom… Otherwise the update will be too small on the 17 Pro.

I've been tempted for awhile to go with the 16 Pro b/c I'm unsure how much the 17 Pro's camera is going to add with the rumored specs, I also like titanium (though that's not as important to me), and I'm just not a fan of the rumored-but-likely form factor of the 17 Pro. 🤷‍♂️

Of course there isn’t an impact from tariffs… Trump exempted smartphones, computers and semiconductors from them entirely last month citing promises of investment from several firms to invest in US manufacturing (same thing they did last time around and didn’t follow through on). They all played the lip service game.

Like last year I trade in my 15 xx for the 16 Pro Max, and this year same for the !& Pro Max trade in is apt 1/3 of the new price, so at all too bad as my 16 is still in pristine condition (case and shield) and no scratch so get max trade in
