I'd take that "report" with a HUGE pinch of salt.

My launch day 15P still shows as 100% and the only thing for sure is that it absolutely is nowhere near as long lasting as it was originally.
Off Course it doesn't last as long, AI and new Siri, use quite a bit more power than IOS 17 did

All I know is that all this fast and wireless charging has made my iPhone 15 Pro's battery health drop quite fast. 10% between launch day and today.

With my Apple Watch Series 10, I went back to the old charging cables with USB-A and I only keep fast charging for when I really need it, and this is the only advice I can give to people. I'm not for putting a charging limit on it because I sometimes need the full 100% capacity and I don't want to be thinking about my phone's battery all the time, but using a normal USB-A charger doesn't require thinking about all the time.
mine is still 100% and i fast charge every 2 days, nothing to do with fast charging

Less and less reasons to upgrade with each extra bit of news that comes out. Will save me a few £ for another year.

Rarely use wireless charging anyways - but if they choose that camera bump design I may just stick with my 15PM instead!

On the other hand, it balances out the phone. At the moment, if it is on the desk next to me and I need to look something up, it clatters all the time and wobbles from side to side, making it difficult to use. Having the it stretched out across the whole width makes it usable on a flat surface.
The cameras still protrude further past the bar, which means the only potential benefit this layout has won’t exist.

I could foresee arguably paying for a 4TB iPhone….hear me out. I pay…400-500$ for an external USB-C SSD drive to use for backup and as second drive to my computer. Why have two devices? Arguably there’s good reason to have two devices…but not always
I would gladly pay for a 4TB phone too but it’s already been 5 years of 1TB being the max capacity, I don’t foresee them making that kind of jump anytime soon. Would be very nice to have someday though.

Yes, I noticed that, going back to the renders after I had posted... Oh, well, back to the drawing board.

To everyone who has defended Apple's lower power charging as "Apple caring about battery health" when someone has brought up that Android phones have higher power charging -- IN YOUR FACE! They don't really care ... it's just Apple being last again to do what everyone else is already doing.

yeah, the slower you charge the phone the better for the battery (life)...
there are times for slow charging (overnight while sleeping) and there are times for ultra-fast charging (need for quick charge before going out).

it's been months and still no 25W MagSafe stands, 2/3-in-1 charging stations. no 25W MagSafe battery packs either.
All they have to do is pay Apple's license, I suspect Belkin will do something in a year or so, exclusively with Apple

Doesn't faster charging equate to more heat being produced during charging? I know LiIon batteries don't like heat, so I'm a bit reluctant to faster charging if it will shorten overall battery life.
It's an old myth.
For the healthiest battery's the first phase of the charge needs to be fast and then gradually slows down.
Over night slow charging is not healthy at all, it's a myth!

A reason why the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra can reach 45 watt charging rate is that they have better internal cooling to prevent overheating the phone when charging at such high rates. While the OnePlus 13 can charge at higher than 80 watts, you wonder does that cut short the operational life of the battery.

It's strange with Pro Res recording available, the phone only has 1TB, I suspect most pro users (camera) would gladly pay for 4TB, to not have to mess about with external drives.
It's a Niche market, however should be available and whilst we're at it, we should also have the option to upgrade the RAM, just like on a Macbook

I had my old Sony Xperia 3 years before the iPhone Pro 15...and if anything due to updates, I got incrementally BETTER batterylife then when it was new. Nevertheless noticed throttling or freezes or reboots...anecdotally just saying
